The lockdown is the final nail in the coffin. Who will be prepared to buy a club, fork out for wages, utilities, etc etc and have no revenue?
No sense businessman would touch it with a bargepole. I honestly believe we will be in liquidation within 3-4 weeks.I’m 69, i’ve supported Latics since i was 12, it’s looking really bad.
Some of my friends are older than me and have supported Latics longer than me,
just because i’ve posted on LS site, that some of my mates have had enough
due to this takeover fiasco, they are called, not ‘True’ Latics fans. They have spent £-Thousands supporting Latics over the years and followed Latics
all over the Country, these are blokes in their late 70’s,not 18 years of age.
and not the ‘Glory’ fans, who went long ago.Like you have said, anyone who wants to buy us will have to have ‘Very Deep Pockets’.
We are in ‘shit creek’ no matter who is to blame,
as of now, who is going to pay ALL of Latics bills every month? As I said recently, the club I supported died months ago. It really did.
Given the UK and world situation, I cannot see us lasting much longer. In fact, I think we are done. Games off due to ‘Covid’ in th3 camp. Is that really the reason?
Or is it because the wages havent been paid ajd contracts are up? No team, no squad. Club staff walking away yesterday was a telling sign something wasn’t right.Kyle Joseph’s hat trick could end up in the history books for all the wrong reasons.
What a dragged out shambles of a death of a football club. Blame who you want, it won’t do any good.
Who is now going the pay the bills, now the Spanish has gone?
I think a lot of Latics fans will throw the towel in now,
their patience has now ‘snapped’, i have talked to a few
of my long term Latics fans and they have had enough of this ‘Shit’.https://wiganathletic.com/news/2021/january/Statement-From-The-Joint-Administrators-05-01-21-/
As of 11 am today, the Administrators have broken off negotiations with the Spanish bidder.
Where do we go from here?

“I have to consider the worst-case scenario.”
The Alarm bells are ringing loud,
i hope this is not the ‘END’ of Latics as we know it!Merry Christmas
and a Stress Free New Year!To You All.
Hello gang I’m still around and well thanks, just been in my plastic bubble like a lot of other fans.
What happened to us in the past 7-8 months totally deflated me and many of my mates. I got to a point whereby it wouldn’t have bothered me if I never saw another football match again.
I looked at the team being put out every week and to me it wasn’t Wigan Athletic it was an Administration 11.
I know I’ve experienced worse times than this as a tics fan but this has felt so much different.
I’ve watched every game, but also not enjoyed any, even the few we’ve won.
With the new owners being just round the corner, I hope when they are appointed it gives us the lift we all need.
Have a great tier 3 christmas and a happy, prosperous and healthy new year everyone.Glad you are OK, like you i’m in the high-risk cat.
This Choi/Admin has hit us all for 6, me and my mates/relatives have watched Latics
for over 30 years and because we have said we are losing our interest not just with
Latics but Football in general, we have been accused as NOT being proper Latics fans,
you couldn’t make it up.Too many ex-football league clubs are now playing non-league football and
not from natural relegation, we were heading the same way and still could be,
there will be more EFL clubs going to the wall,
if financial help does not come quickly enough and long enough.Have a Good Christmas and an Admin Free New Year!
error
Luckily we have not yet been cut adrift from the bottom half of the table,
but, we need the experienced players back, unless they are being ‘moth-balled’
to be sold in January by the Admins. This is our problem, our younger players have not got enough experienced
players in the team to give some of the younger players the confidence they need
and give them a rest, and bring in the younger players in 2 or 3 at a time. There is no way this squad is big enough or experienced enough
to carry us through this season.Due to circumstances we have not got enough experienced players to rotate the squad,
We need the EFL to their make Decision on the takeover before the January Transfer Window. Some of you are slagging the Accy Chairman off and the staff,
i can’t belief some of you are defending the actions of the Admins behaviour
towards our opponents on a match day.Not a fan of the admins but that accy chairman seems like a right cunt
Why?
You treat your opponents with respect, even Ammy teams who were our
biggest rivals, we always give them hospitality and received it back,
it’s good manners and sportsmanship.Won’t be the staff member paying the fine i’d imagine and they should know better.
Not the admins biggest fan, but can see why they would hit the roof.
The Admins, could have used some ‘tact and diplomacy’ to get their point over,
the sooner these Admins are out of the Club the better,
we can get back to normality and treat and train the staff and players with
the respect they deserve. -
