Edman is the better left back in my opinion. As Vat correctly pointed out, he was out of position for the City goal, and also for the Burnley goal at the weekend.

The only advantage I think he has over Edman is his age, which means he is likely to get better with the more games he plays.

If he wants to go, let him. He isn’t pivotal to the team.

I saw it. Three times he took his training top off, and then was told to put it back on again.

I agree with the verdict on Gomez. He offered very little when he came on, and I can’t understand the reasoning behind that one.

Despite the disappointment of not converting numerous chances and winning the game, it was a good performance in my opinion.

Have heard of Lovetones because my brother lives in Oz and he’s into them.

The afore mentioned ginger lady is now on Later With Jules Holland. Bloody hell, that was a quick change of clothes!

That would have made it work a little better.

Totally off subject; Paloma Faith has just been on Jonathan Ross. A bit middle of the road for you I feel, but she looks an interesting lady.

They interviewed the young lad and he said ‘He’ was lighter than air. (Chemical symbol pun. Sorry, that’s pish poor.)

That was my next line…bugger…something about guide ropes or something like that.

Load of hot air in my opinion.

    I beg to differ:

‘I am intelligent by the way…. 57 was more near the age of your mums ages on average when they got it’

Even with correct punctuation it doesn’t read correctly:

‘I am intelligent by the way. 57 was more near the age of your mums’ (note the correct use for an apostrophe with the plural of mum) the ages, on average, when they got it.’

Does this imply that our mothers were fifty seven, on average, when they first had sexual intercourse? Goodness me, what an insult that is.

The Standish Walker – ask your dad who he was.

That intelligent sentence doesn’t make any sense at all. Oh, the irony.

I see your point but it was a big campsite out on the east coast, full & over the big bank holiday weekend over there so plenty of pickings for anyone who was opportunist enough

Besides which if you go to an official, legit campsite over there they are liable to have blokes with big guns on the entrance & regular patrols by blokes with big guns. Not sure I’d be tempted to half inch the contents of someone’s tent when faced with them!!

You do have a point and I have exaggerated slightly, but there will be an awful lot of crime, and the tent dwellers will be the worst hit.

I’ve got a mate who is ex-South African Special Forces and who is employed over here in security, but he’s going over for the World Cup. He said most of the lads who work for him fully expect to kill someone while they are over there (most are also ex-South African military). Frightening stuff. How FIFA must be regretting taking the ‘gloabl game’ to South Africa.

Maybe so, but the opportunist tent robbers weren’t waiting in anticipation for you and thousands of your mates to turn up, knowing exactly where you’d be staying, your exact date of arrival, and the exact times when you’d be away from your tent at a football match.

It is £3k and upwards. Every airline and hotel has cashed in on it.

If you want to go camping in South Africa, crack on with it son. I’d wager a small fortune on you having everything you own robbed within 24 hours of getting there.
