Worked hard and took his goal well as did Lowe. Been excellent all over tonight….so far
We will get a draw tonight so will be almost cut adrift again so you’ll all be happy. Cook might even give you a soundbite you can slag him off for.
Yes I said that didnt i
Who are all these successful sides then playing 442 with attacking football and out and out wingers?
When Leicester won the PL they claimed it was 442, but it was more a 451 because they played on the counter with a big hoof up field
Have a word with Josephs goal, maybe they can get the Jewell team back together for ya
As long as his days of keeping sides in the championship arent
With darf vader in charge we struggle to top league one.The league we won under “darf vader”?
Well happy with those results isnt he. We really should be topping the premier league. Its just not good enough.
It’s nearly 20 years ago. Let it go. The Paul Jewell days wont work anymore hence why hes failed miserably sinve he left here.
The likes of Gary Teale and David Lee are long gone.
More’s the pity, as this wing back malarky is dull, boring and non productive.
The sooner proper out and out wingers return, the better.
Or just try pretending it isnt the 1970s where 442 is king.
He’s been signed as a wide forward because that’s where he plays. We don’t play “out and out wingers” so why would we sign someone as one? Where he played for Pompey is irrelevant in the same way if someone signs Naismith it probably isn’t as a left back
He was bought as an out and out winger. So is it not unfair on the lad that he isn’t being used as one.Was he? I must have missed that declaration.
FFS. We win a game and people are still moaning
The plan was definitely to kick on but sadly the players we brought in haven’t worked out, Lowe has been poor as has Marshall, and players like Massey have dropped in their performance levels. Fox and Pilkington have never played, MacLeod got settled and then injured, Mulgrew left for whatever reason. Best laid plans and all that.
IF we stay up we need to be picking up more Championship established players but it’ll be tough on our budget.
I firmly believe we should be mid table now. We have won games DESPITE the manager and have certainly lost games BECAUSE of the manager. No matter the outcome of our season we should start next season with a new one.
Best one yet. Absolute belter.

Why?
Take it you disagree Stu?
Fundamentally the post had 3 points
We should be higher up the table and with better tactics, different team selection and most relevant the disasterous substitutions we could have been. Think most would agree?
Secondly Cook HAS cost us wins due to the above mentioned. Again think most would agree with that?
Thirdly and I think this was your issue that we have won despite Cook? Could argue that the very few we have won were down to luck(Birmingham/Leeds) individual players etc. Or maybe I can conceed he got it right for once.
Cook has cost us some points but so have the players. You could also argue he’s won us some with some changes (sheff weds) but that doesn’t fit the “cooks an idiot” agenda. To say we lose because of him but wins are nothing to do with him is a joke.
As for the squad being better than where we are I beg to differ. On paper back in August possibly. In stark reality….not good enough. Whether that is cooks fault, the budget we have or the scouts who knows.
