What makes you think we have a Marketing Dept??
Maybe we are doing it to p1$$ off the commentators, they have a hard enough job getting NZog & Figueroa right, imagine how they’ll cope with 3 or 4 James Mc’s
Why dont the Wurriers use Orrells old ground for the game??
Welcome to the madhouse.
Boselli’s failing was in adapting to the pace and physicality of the game during the build-up play.
I don’t see how you can judge a player on so few appearance – and when he did start, he was usually taken off just after half time.
In those 2 sentences it looks to me that:
a) you have judged him regardless of how many appearances he made
b) highlighted that even the manager who spent so much on him & fought so hard to get him wound up in a relatively short space of time rating him less than Rodallega, Di Santo & Sammon. Its not surprising therefore that plenty of Latics fans don’t rate him either
And in that one short post you have proven that you will pounce upon anything you feel will start a cyber fight…..
So, in response, yes you can judge whether a player has adapted to the pace and physical aspects of the British game by watching him in so few matches.
Adaptation is an an ongoing process, where you can see the progress from game to game. It’s the same as judging how a player is recovering from an injury.
Boselli wasn’t used to the pace or physical nature of the British game, and wasn’t showing any signs of developing quickly enough – and that was the opinion of Martinez .
Judging a player’s ability from so few game is totally different matter altogether. You simply cannot say a player is poor by watching so few games.
It has been stated on numerous occasions that it was the player and his agent who engineered a move to Genoa, and Martinez confirmed this in his recent Q&A session. To me that would suggest it is not the manager who doesn’t rate him.
And no, it’s not surprising that plenty of Latics fans don’t rate him either considering there are plenty of them that think Dave Whelan pockets all the money received from player sales, N’ Zogbia plays on the ‘wrong wing’ and 4-4-2 will solve everything.
I refer my learned friend to my earlier post. I personally have found it such situations that
this > :angry-banghead: has the same effect.:text-goodpost:
There you go again SW using facts to blow arguments out of the water. What’s that saying again…..
“Dont let the truth get in the way of a good argument”Who knows the FA might earn their corn and GOVERN the sport whilst in the process remove all diving and particularly lack of respect towards refs.So much has been let go now its too late. Too many vested interests allow the “game” to continue limping along in a bizarre and corrupt fashion. Its a freakshow.
Who knows, they’re may be a program which finally lifts the lid…

C4 – another TV station that Sir Alex will never talk to again. There’ll only be Men & Motors and Dave left soon.
No mate Men & Motors has ceased & Dave showed a repeat of the BBC investigation by accident instead of Top Gear so he wont speak to them either
Yeah thanx for your input, Retired.
We already knew it was bent but NOT to the extent that C4 brought to our screens tonight.
17 teams in the premier league have anonymous investors, eg. Birmingham City’s chairman has been arrested for money laundering similar to Thaksin Sinawartra when he was at City, no one knows who these foreign chairman are getting their money from.
Just look at the amount of times Portsmouth where taken over in a short space of time.
:angry-soapbox: :angry-soapbox:I had heard the rumour about one of the young first teamers a few days ago, but it seems to have died in the water.
Who really cares what they do in their private lives as long as they do the business on the football field. If you’re after a good Italian meal then Sorrentos at Orrell Post is the best in Wigan. There is a rumour that Francos microwave its food & using prepacked dishes.
I have heard the Chinese Buffet on Standishgate is also excellent & you get plenty of choice on the buffet.

Its actually the 1st of July Griff when the transfer window opens, please dont annihilate me with a come back because you was wrong ;)
It is the 1st of June Zog. There have been a dozen or so players signed by Premier League clubs already.
The 1st of July is the date that players, released by clubs, can sign for another club.
Fair enough Bicky.
I have just had a browse & laughed at the N’Zogbia threads where he has signed for Liverpool, Newcastle & Sunderland so far. I think Dame Trevor wil have something to say about that :lol:Do you have a link for this??
