Admins only ones, I presume this because
      1 EFL don’t think they’re fit
Firstly because their figures included the Supporters money, then resubmitted with a cost neutral proposal. Add to that the more than dubious characters in the background
2 WASC don’t seem to want them, I presume because they tried to buy the club with money they didn’t say they could have and therefore rightly wonder whether they have the funds or the right plan for WAFC
3 Lisa Nandy is dead set against it
4 Wigan Council don’t back it.

Its enough for me to wonder why an exclusivity keeps getting extended when there has been other(better) interest.
I say better, but we don’t really know it, though I think everything should be on the table when the Spanish consistently fail the EFL checks.

The way it comes across to me is they won’t be doing any investing, in fact quite the opposite, sure I read something about them scrapping the academy.
If anything, that is the one thing we need to carry on, or the future players or player sales will see us die anyway.
Why are the administrators the only ones that think these are the best option?

I think the consensus on here and SM are saying these guys don’t seem to be the complete package. I wonder if there is anyone on the sidelines waiting to jump in if this falls through?

That sounds like the Spanish haven’t got enough to fund this on their own. That will roughly translate as we will not be going all out for a return to the Championship any time soon.
Well done WASC for looking in to this and not panicking

Under Administration we are at our limit on players, we can add once the takeover (hopefully) goes through.

If we buy the shirt, does the money go in the coffers for Wigan Athletic and the new owners, or will the administrators get it in their bank account?

Ditto, they’re clueless. Surely it is for Yeung Kai to pay the admins, not Wigan Athletic?

I would have a smug grin if they happened to get into financial difficulty

That is amazing, it’s a pity a lot more players (not just Latics) value their former clubs like this, some like Chester would not have gone to the wall.

As much as I don’t like the way this guy works, he tells it as it is. I will always believe that they didn’t need to let it get this far, I think it would have been perfectly sane to sell the club the day after the Hong Hong guys said they didn’t want anything.

The new owners could have paid the debts and then sold off what they needed to at a much bigger rate than these guys have sold for, therefore still paying creditors without getting rid of as many of the assets. It would have been their choice to run with what was left, or sell to get the wage bill down and put money in our coffers.

Doing what they have done was unnecessary, but we are where we are, because they didn’t have experience of football and how it runs… plus what buyers want.

Nah, it was the self imposed one for the administrators to earn the best amount of money. They could have wrapped it up on the 23rd July as 2 bidders would have took us on before the appeal. But they would have only got £380k if that happened, roll it on to 31st August, they earn £2 million.

The EFL and FA are regulatory bodies, they don’t make the rules they just enforce them.

What is wrong is that they are not regulated themselves, so when they fuck up like they have done with us, they fall back on saying they were following the rules that each club in the football league has voted for.

The OADT is not fit for purpose, they know it we know it, but there isn’t an appetite within the football clubs to change it. They want to make it easy to sell a club no matter what.

Realistically, nothing will change until Government pressure them to change it, and they won’t do that until there is a bill in Parliament.

And that won’t happen unless a petition with 100,000 signatures on it lands on their desk, they cannot ignore it then.

All in all, that is 500 fans from every professional club in the country, or 20% of the season ticket holders at the club that have fell foul of the current set up.

In real life, like us, we only feel like we should do something when we have just been shafted by it….. the next club that it happens to, and that will be very soon, will then do what we are doing. But until we ALL as fans come together and make it happen, other clubs will succumb.

SIGN THE PETITION, and get 99,000 of your closest friends to do it too.
