BOOOOOO. Bloody rubbish dnr!!
There are two types of football fans in this country, the first type support their local club whether their club is Middlesboro or Chorley FC, they tend go to the game, like to visit new grounds when they get the chance, money permitting and generally just like to watch football regardless of the standard,The second type choose a fashionable club, hardly ever go to watch their chosen team, nearest they get to the match day experience is watching their fashionable big club in the pub. they tend to be loud and obnoxious and they have zero interest in anything outside the premiership and generally are f**king clueless about everything.
Unfortunately Sky tend to cater for the second type of fan.
Spot on
Tylde .. thanks for your comments, they put a different and interesting perspective on the events. There was a rotten high level studs up lunge on MOrsy, which to me looked worse than Delph’s on Max. Should /could that have been a straight red? I think a yellow was given.
Corey Evans.
TBF Donny. We play in League One. Nobody really cares compared to City, Arsenal and Barcelona.
They know they’ve blown it and if Shrews win their games in hand then they will be struggling.
The ref was crap both ways and after bottling a 2 goal lead you need to blame someone.
The league and cup double is on ;)
Great character to come back and we looked the more likely to win it.
Not sure the keeper was getting near Walkers free kick. Wall did its job there.
Ref was awful both ways. Loved being on TV.
Better result for us.
Massey should have had a shot for the first goal, instead he lost the ball and they broke clinically. Great goal.
2nd goal was a 50/50 that Byrne lost but seen them given. Another great finish.
Ref is appalling for both sides. He knows he’s on TV.
Game not officially over and as I have said several times the title is still in our hands.
The main concern to a lot of us when we been top of the league …we never actually had breathing space..this time in the season.pulling 9 points back will be hard so fingers crossed for a healthy win on Sunday.Well the 3 0-0 draws in a row when we were dominant are biting us on the butt slightly.
Level on points with 4 in hand would have been a much better position to be in, but either way it is still in our hands and you can’t ask for much more than that.
They will all want the glory now though Donny. Not a big tie in terms of dragging the JCLs out, but the lure of getting to Wembley may do.
Don’t forget that the game could be 120 mins and penalties so an extra fiver is a bargain.
We really struggled with it in 1999 didn’t we?
Winning is an addiction. We get a roll on and we could play every day with no issues.
An FA Cup quarter final for less than a lot of non league matches and the instict of the average Wigan fan is to moan.Wiganers for ya.
Exactly Brownbill. Nice to finally see some positivity.
IF Rovers beat us AND fail to drop a point for the rest of the season, they would still need us to drop a further 4 points in order to pass us.
As Cooky has said….let’s see where we are when the games even themselves out.
So is it on or off GL?
With the exception of the first half against Giillingham, we haven’t put in a convincing league performance since before Christmas. That’s been the issue. The squad has been strengthened but there’s been a consistent decline in the level of performances. While you can excuse the Rochdale display after the number of changes, the West Ham and City games show the level we can produce. That is needed for the majority of the remaining league games. With 15 league games to go this won’t be decided by fixture congestion or luck. That’s why we went out of our way to back the manager in January. This is the time of year champion teams push on. It’s what Caldwell’s team did, it’s yet to be seen if Cook can do the same.
And yet we were top throughout, have lost 2 in 19 maybe more and apart from games in hand would probably still be top.
I agree SH77…..we are in trouble here.
My concern is fitting these games in! It’ll be another come the Southampton game! From 30th March – 21st April we have 7 games pencilled in !Which is why I would have swapped a win against City for one against Rochdale. Tje one issue we will have is fixture backlog.
Then again, look at 1999. It could help us to get a run going.
