As our resident ref I would be interested to hear you’re take on Mourinho,s view and subsequent rant about the penalty he says was not given. My view is both players made contact with the ball and it was the ball that brought Herrera down so never a penalty in the memory of man. A true 50-50 challenge and Michael Oliver was spot on with the decision. The one City could have been awarded was a lot more likely. How did you see it?.
It wasn’t a penalty & the ref got it spot on to book him for diving – my view of it yesterday is that Herrera knocked it past him & expected the challenge to come in, it didn’t so he stuck his left leg out & made contact with the defender & not the other way round
City should have had a penalty IMO if you;re talking about the one where some United defender grabbed a City player round the neck with his arm & pulled him to the floor.
You didn’t ask about the Everton one but someone else mentioned it so I’ll chuck my twopenneth in about that too – it was a penalty all day long. He pushed him in the back. Enough to knock him over? Possibly not, but enough to have made him lose control of the ball. Penalty & Klopp has made himself look like a right idiot with his attitude in the post match interviews that I’ve seen

Have to agree with all of that Tylds.
The City one was ridiculous. Matic has two arms round him and then Herrera (who I hate as a player) throws him on the floor.
The Everton one is a foul on halfway and possibly even a yellow. You cant shove someone in the back like that.
Klopp and Jose have tried to deflect fr0m poor performances and results and have just made themselves look daft. Fergie was the master at it.
Walton is the better keeper. Both fit and he plays. Same thing with say Dan Burn and Alex Bruce. Pick your best XI. No room for sentiment.
Bogdan (on loan) was “injured” and sent back so that Gilks (our player) could play as he is the better player.
According to a post on BBC, 6 English players played in the CL this week.
The Prem is the most competitive league but I think that is due to the overseas players leaving their leagues in tatters TBH.
Bolton game on 21/12/09 was called off due to snow. We were in Australia for Christmas it didnt snow there :woohoo:Blackburn game 26/12/09 conditions very bad around the ground and a few peeps said it should have been called off. Game went ahead 1-1. Didnt attend as above :P
18/12/10 Villa game. Called off in the morning after the undersoil heating failed. Pitch frozen.

It’s the roads and areas the club/council don’t own JR. The canal, industrial estate, bridges etc.

Said on weather report before that its on its way and will hit North West tonight and early Friday morning, causing travel chaos. (As always) Have to say that seems credible with the weather today and sleet. Sky looks full towards the West and thats where the weather front is coming from. Just had some hail showers too.Could see Saturdays game in jeapordy, not just because of the pitch, but more so the approaches to the ground and surrounding area on safety grounds.
