Who has told Carson to all of a sudden start booting the ball as hard as he can, often straight to the opposing keeper? Long often over hit diagonal balls from the defenders are another unwelcome tactic! I bet most of the players are afraid to voice their opinions because of fear of being frozen out!
Well if it’s player power then they’ll have just started doing it in order to get rid.
Rosler doesn’t seem his animated self though like he was last season.
I bet that does Taylor’s confidence the World of good or is he injured? Had 3 decent games on the trot has that lad!
Never mind Taylor, how bad must that Garcia lad be?
Now there is absolutely no excuse for James Perch to play left back.
Bit disrespectful.
I bet some league two sides could hammer us at the minute.
Off the top of my head….Bringing Figs back
He’s just signed two left backs, Taylor and Taylor-Sinclair. Does he suddenly not rate them?Don’t understand this one myself either. Not as if Figueroa is a World beater.
Fortune
Told, apparently, that he would be behind the new arrivals in the pecking order. Uwe “glad” he didn’t send him out on loan, suggesting a fair bit of inning and aahingFortune is definitely our best player at holding the ball up and could be dangerous with the right man alongside him.
Riera
High-profile new signing dropped after about three gamesHasn’t looked brilliant, but looks far better than Delort and actually has a record to back it up.
Waghorn
Sings his praises in the press, says he was “heartbroken” to leave him out. Hardly ever seen againDon’t get this unless he is injured. Far better option than McClean in my opinion.
Holt
Insists on the player moving closer to Wigan. The distance doesn’t seem to have done him any harm at HuddersfieldHaving read Holt’s comments about losing weight and being one of the fittest in the squad, I would be interested to read/hear what Rosler has to say on the matter. Seems very much like a face not fitting to me.
The “high pressing game”
Remember this? Someone must take a shot within seven seconds. I’d be surprised if we’ve reached double figures for shots on target all seasonUtter codswallop
Kiernan
Uwe’s golden boy, based on a spell on loan in league 1, converted into a centre half and dropped into the back four ahead of Barnett, Rogme and CaldwellLiked Kiernan at the end of last season but hasn’t looked the same player so far this.
Oh yeah, Caldwell
Given an extra year’s contract and coaching responsibilities. Why?Good signing on the coaching side I think. Certainly has the experience. Doubt we’ll see him near the first team unless we have an injury crisis.
Three goalkeepers
The squad’s four players too big at least. One easy win would have been to sell Ak-Habsi to free up some funds. No need for 3 keepers and I’m pretty sure we will lose Nicholls at some stage will be a big loss. Ali to go for me.
Don Cowie
What does he seen in this fella?I see more in this guy than I do in Forshaw.
I’m sure there are more that I’ve forgotten. We make far too many changes to the side for me. Yes it worked last year when we played too many games but this year we have new players trying to fit in and such like so they need game time. Let’s have a run of the same XI for God’s sake.
Seriously, what were the chances? Suggests to me that he’s getting desperate, or that Whelan had a word.Sad thing is, though, playing 442 made no difference.
Maybe he does read these boards?????
Well I clean the windows of Dave Whelan’s butcher’s uncle’s niece twice removed and she said she doesn’t like football and is there any chance I can do the windows once a month instead of once a fortnight!I may be reading between the lines here, but that sounds to me like Rosler is on his way :silly:
Thought Fortune was our man of the match last night. Just a shame he has no end product.
Time to go 4-4-2 (though I’d bare my arse in the Brick if he actually went and did it)Carson
Taylor Ramis Barnett Tavernier
McManaman Forshaw Maloney McLean
Riera Waghorn
Thank God I don’t drink in the Brick ;)
Hmmmm, homesick?
Maybe, maybe not. Either way, no great loss
[waits for the kick and rush, headless chicken brigade to burst into hysterical tears]
I’m a fan of Espinoza but I don’t see it as a great loss.
I think he’s OK, nothing more, nothng less. Quite why he became the next great hope, and the answer to all our ills, I just don’t know.
Actually, I do. It’s because he ran about a lot, sometimes quite fast, and kicked things. Wiganers like that.
Occasionally he showed that something special. His debut at Stoke for example I thought he was excellent. Then others he was just as you say “a headless chicken”

I don’t care if the winner goes in off Barnett’s bell end a wins a winCorrect
“Oh crap. Mutty has just started another attendance thread”
There is one player who would have made a difference on Saturday and should be the first name on the team sheet.Martyn Waghorn
Not sure why he not getting a game when you look at the options available.
Nothing less than 3 points will do and I don’t really care how we get them as long as we get them.
You sure it wasn’t Andy Saville?
