They should wrap his body in tin foil, drop him a few times and then bury him with the tin foil all ripped and body parts hanging out or have his coffin shaped like a takeaway carton with the lining being that grease paper stuff they put in.
Remember as well of course that RL is only played on the M62 and East coast of Australia yet 42000 people travelled to Cardiff which is certainly not on the M62 and watched a team called Italy.
The opening 5 games have been massively positive from a RL fans point of view. The big test will be tomorrow when USA play the Cook Islands at Bristol.
Attendances so far:
Opening ceremony double header – 42700.
Looking good so far.
Cardiff is of course RU Country so to get 42k on was a cracking start.
I imagine they felt they could fill Old Trafford and as the HQ of the tournament was at Media City they went with that.
Millenium Stadium Capacity 72500.
30,000 empty seats for a double header including one of the the host nations versus the Champions elect.
It doesn’t look too good to me!!
Incidently, why are the semis at Wembley, but the Final at Old Trafford?
To be fair, Martinez played McArthur and Espinoza as wing backs only because Caldwell, Ramis, Figueroa, Beausejour and goodness knows how many more defenders were injured. However, playing wing back in front of a back three isn’t the same as playing wide in midfield in front of a back four.
Having said that, Coyle could do worse than play Espinoza on the left side of midfield, especially when he needs to rotate the squad members.
After all, Espinoza is left-footed and has the energy to run around. Roger did have a brief run out today – perhaps Coyle will give him another chance soon.
Think he has him pencilled in for the QPR game.
At Loftus Road.
Will be keeping an eye on Scotland, only because I know their manager and he and his family are big Latics fansCertainly are. He used to change the training times at Whitehaven depending on who Latics played.
Top bloke as well.
Attendances so far:
Opening ceremony double header – 42700
PNG v France @ Hull – 7481 (capacity 8000)
NZ v Samoa @ Warrington – 14965 (capacity 15000)Fiji v Ireland @ Rochdale tonight is sold out as are France v NZ in Avignon and England v Ireland @ Huddersfield.
Looking good so far.
Shish, that’s awfully sad news.Pitta bad news I agree
May have to have one for tea in his honour
Not shirty mate. Was just saying there were a few in Berkley.
Didn’t Bobby sign Garcia?
Quite a few in Berkley watching the Wales game when I went in. Showing every game in there apparently.
Ps – Everybody knows there are more football fans in Wigan than rugby fans they just support the likes of Liverpool, Utd, City and Everton.
Heard that Watson has been critical of Gomez, I haven’t seen what he said, does anyone know?
It’s nonsense.
Ben Watson in last night’s programme answered the question ‘What shampoo does Jordi Gomez use’ by saying he was going grey and thinning on top.
It’ a bit of banter that people have construed the wrong way.
All I know is Gomez is head and shoulders above every one of our other midfielders when on form.
That just isn’t often enough for my liking.
Ah the shampoo thing. Hadn’t read that part lol
Woosh?
Gomez is so frustrating it beggars belief. Carson rolled him a ball for a quick counter and he was that slow he ended up passing it backwards with the Rubin defence back and set. He seems so reluctant to go forward.
Thought McCann was pretty solid.
I can safely say that in 50 years time when my Children/Grandchildren ask me what I did when Latics won the FA Cup I will still be able to tell them second for second. NEVER forget that moment.
