:lol: :lol:Garbage? Harsh. The problem we have is a lack of real quality. Or confidence, maybe. Almost all of the players need more than one touch and the first touch is usually backwards or sideways which takes the momentum out of a move. That, along with a dearth of forward players making runs and space, is a bit of a problem right now.
Jacobs and Grigg look like they have some quality and their first touches show that with things seeming to happen once they get the ball.
I think the players look hungry and they do bust a gut and I think they can only get better.
Alas we improved when Junior came on and boy have we missed him some excellent passes from the guy
Haris Vuckic is close to a comeback for loan club Wigan Athletic.
The Newcastle United forward twisted his ankle on his second appearance for the League One club.
But Vuckic, on a season-long loan at the DW Stadium, could be available for next Saturday’s away game at Bury.
Ninth-placed Wigan, managed by former Newcastle defender Gary Caldwell, are hoping to return to the Championship at the first attempt.
And Vuckic starred on loan for Rangers last season, and Caldwell is hoping the 23-year-old will have a similar impact at the DW Stadium.
