I can understand the frustrations of the darkside they would of thought that tonight they would have had full use of the forum to exercise there bile towards Roberto and to a extent Sir David Whealen
But alas that was not to be a good solid performance from the boys nipped that in the bud in about five minutes 30 minutes 31 minutes and I do believe 34 minutes a delighfull goal from a player the darkside love to hate
So we now have the situation where Roberto has taken us further in the biggest cup competion in the world than any other tics manager on a weakend team
Do we carry on supporting this person the so called best manager in Europe or do we protest ahd get rid of this guy who according to some has /taken us backwords ?
His lack of interest in cup competitions has riled some on here and the natives are restless
I made my decision re cup games a couple of years back and I have seen nothing to tempt me back as of yet !

Keep trawling troll ! I aint going to the semi final but may go to the final if we get there, who wouldn’t !
Not gong to the semi-final!
Why would you miss out on that? Come on Fil, you may never get to see us at Wembley again.
Err, you do know the semi-finals are at Wembley don’t you? ;)
Yes I do and seeing as the Mrs has let me go to Austin Texas the following week I just feel that a game of football isn’t worth ending a marriage for ! ;)
That’s fair enough. If I thought my Mrs would leave me over football I’d never miss a game and probably start following the reserves too. ;)
Enjoy Texas
Spanish Clown!

Where is APB on a cruise singing his heart out
So?We’re the famous Wigan Latics and we’re going to Wemberlee…..
I’ll worry about the League next week.
Indeed has Bobby has said One game at a time
I like that goalkeeper also he made a couple of good stops that Ali may have flapped -he’s worth a start if you ask me and I’d also put Mcmannaman in instead of de sant.
he needs to change it to turn the season if you ask me
Biggest game of the season next week if you ask meAgree the spanish goalie to start drop Ali
I see Everton didn’t take any such chances by fielding an inexperienced side despite their squad being as threadbare as ours ! Job done and relax !Aye your reet there Phylis
   Another cnampionship manager ranting stick to cleaning windows
Wem-ber- ley, wem-ber- ley, we’re the famous wigan latics & we’re going to wem- ber- ley!!

The people on here who do know me know that I am quite the opposite of miserable and if you want to believe the idiot who says I leave early every home game then more fool you ! Yes I did walk out at half time last week but that was shite and we had been drinking solidly for 3 hours pre kick off and just decided that the pub was the answer for the second half. If I am not allowed to comment on the evident problems we have had at the back without people suggesting I do the job instead then it is a poor do that is all I can say, an all too typical riposte it would seem ! I am an avid fan who wants the team to do better and so I like to get my concerns across and if you perceive that as being miserable then you are severely misconstrued. What have I told you about paragraphs tsk tsk Phylis
well done latics you did yourselves proud, you nice to see the everton fans leaving . you out played them goodpost goodpostThank you not much attention to this post is it because we won goodpost goodpost goodpost
Thirty5years and his usual crap…..”every defeat hits him hard”.All pain no gain then.Follow your leader. ….that’s it….nearly at the cliff. Why would I only come out this stage of the season ?Have I missed something ? ? haven’t we been pretty cack all season.? Still I think luck permitting we could get something today. And every win the man has a grin the size of the leeds and liverpool canal did you see him this afternoon Mr Balloon head
What the moaners like Mr Balloon head fail to realise every defeat hits Roberto like it hits the rest of us hard and not nice either if i was Roberto I would of fecked off yonks ago if reading this board is anything to go by
You have a bloody window cleaner thinking he’s Alex Ferguson on weed a know it all Brownbill who only appears about this time of year I’ll not even mention the braincell known as Bickymon a chump from Skem who throws more dummies than a Nursery and used to scout for PJ alledgedly
It’s Dave from Skem’s breakdown or phylis with his constant dummy spits that have sent the server barmy
My reply was concise and to the point. Why should we settle for stagnation just because we came from the depths of lower league football. Piemons riposte was indeed heartfelt and sincere but he did indeed admit to having blind faith and whilst some fans are just grateful to be where we are now regardless of position or state of squad there are some of us JCL’s and stalwarts alike who would like a little bit more from our players. I happen to think that we have enough talent in the squad to survive but the right balance has not been found yet and that is down to the manager to work the oracle with what he has. This thread was not intended as a wind up but to point out that even big clubs like Liverpool have very similar rifts amongst their fans. There are fans on here who vent their spleen at crap performances only to be told by others to stop moaning and look how far we have come and other old chestnut sayings ! I have never been vitriolic in my posts but just because I have only been watching for 10 years doesn’t mean that I cant have an opinion or point out evidence of underachieving by certain players. Back to the never rest on your laurels,if you didn’t understand the adage then fine but don’t try and make out that I’m some sort of idiot. Nothing wrong at all wanting progression when it is a feasible goal but to be content for the sake of it due to history and the size of the club is counter-productive in my eyes ! 8 seasons in the Prem and we are still the whipping boys ! Whilst some of the old guard are happy with their lot some of us newer editions are more eager to properly establish ourselves in the top tier of English football, properly being the operative word ! We need to carry on building the fanbase for the future of the club and staying in the Prem and doing well in the Prem will indeed bring new fans, just accepting whatever happens because you support the team and getting mad with fans who are frustrated at the shite they are watching does not make you a better supporter. I will be there still if we go down but many wont and even though you will still be happy with your lot, your acceptance of how small we are and how far we have come etc will not fill the clubs coffers with much needed funds from fans and tv deals. I think the fans who want more success are the fans that will see this club prosper and the next generation of fans that come in will be like minded I hope !Paragraphs dear boy paragraphs
fil after posting what was ether a wind or pointscoring thread surely you would have the decency to give a full reply to a wonderful reply from piemon rather than a crap one liner ? Surely he deserves better than that ?
I remember years ago when we got to the prem. Many posters said “We`ll not half attract some whoppers who will think we should compete every week and if we don`t then they will be threatening to leave at every excuse”. I`m sorry but you are one of those. A JCL who has moaned and moaned through the good times, never experienced the bad times and never will when they return
Harsh I know but a least its the truth
Are you suggesting that our good friend Philidelphia would intentionally post a thread with the aim at inciting disagreement between two sets of fans?
How dare you :silly:[/quote
Very unlike phylis to get a wind up going
btw a well thought out response piemon as Phylis truly stumped goodpost
Yes booing has been around since the ancient Greek, but so has syphilis. Both are as wanted and as helpful as each other.
The difference between making your feelings known at a show, a play, a concert etc, is you’re there merely to be entertained. And you are (and I’ve used this distinction several times before over the years) a spectator, not a supporter.
Being a supporter means you get behind the team, cheer them on, and put up with the crap during bad times because they’re ‘your team’.
Being a spectator means if the entertainment on offer is not up to your expectations, you boo.
We have far too many spectators and not enough supporters.
