There’s actually a few i’d get in. Fuller would be a good shout as he would cost (obviously) nowt and his wages wouldn’t be silly. He wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice but he would certainly do as back up.
I agree about Shorey n all and would give Benjani a year as well (although his wages could be a stumbler). I’d pass on Petrov who, undoubtedly a good player, gets injured a tad too much, especially if his wages would be around 40-50 grand a week. (no idea really – just a guess).
And Kanu – 33 years old??? More like 53.
Were you in Duisberg?
Anyway, it’s the Finns who wander around in saunas wi’ nowt on.

Try to telling that to my brother-in-law who works in Cologne.
Is he a Latics mon your brother-in-law :?:
Ghana also have a world class keeper playing for them  :D
You’re not wrong. Although he somehow looks half decent playing for Ghana. Is that Serbian cat first choice for his national team? They may as well play rush goalie for all the use he is.
If Kasper did sign for us (big if as there are a few sniffin round him) surely the experience of the 58-year-old Pollitt would be good for him.
Bags of experience in the Prem and could be a good sort of tutor for him or any other young goalkeeper who might come to us.
Its between Ivory Coast and Ghana for the best team in Africa. Depends though if Essien plays for Ghana as he is very much their main mon. Ghana also won the Under 20 World Cup in Jan. (I think it was under 20) and some of their players looked brilliant. Just depends if they can make the step up.
I suppose it can get a bit dodgy with such relaxed policing and stewarding.
Only to be expected from a country that wanders about in saunas with all their boy and girl bits on show
You didn’t have a bad experience in one did you Griff?
Best thing for me about Bundesliga matches is the relationship between the players and fans. If a team wins, the players will stay behind after the game and celebrate on the pitch in front of the fans.
There’s always someone with a megaphone n all and usually the club captain will start chanting all sorts and gets the fans proper jumping. Can’t imagine Mario doin the same for us.
The only downside is that there was a match last week in which a team got send down and then their fans started ripping up seats and thowing them in the direction of players etc.(I live over here, I dont just watch random Bundesliga matches) One fella actually took one on the head – nowt bad happened to the fella – and another fan took a swing at one of the player’s who’d just been relegated. I suppose it can get a bit dodgy with such relaxed policing and stewarding.
Balls to that. For purely selfish reasons its got to be Blackpool for promotion. Just because it takes about two days to get to Cardiff (slight exaggeration) and Blackppol must be up there with the best away days you could have.
Cracking penalty by the way.
I also think Bullard was a tad over-rated but he weren’t one of the worst. Get Kavanagh in for Bullard. I’d also question Taylor’s involvement as I thought he was for me a decent RB and very unlucky with injuries in his time with us. Can’t think of a shoddy RB though…
He’s a Preston mon, says it all really. They just love any excuse to belittle us. Makes it all the sweeter when we beat their favourites.
I imagine there will be some songs on this theme on Saturday, any suggestions ?‘Drive my car’… Beatles….the words are sort of apt n all. (with a little bit of tweaking)
