Deanery for me Micky. The home of champions.
Snap!!!
Tis a good result but it should have been three points, I thought we could have picked them off in the later stages of the second half, but we sat back and I wasn’t suprised when that header went in at the end.
I’d o took a point, but it stings sometimes this football lark.
no , see you are getting things wrong again .. :? thats confused , thats like a shrug of the shoulders
another one who jumps in :P
read my post again , but take note of the little word thats been underlined :| ;)
Shrugging shoulders is like rolling eyes…. :?:
Here’s an easy one for you to understand…

We have only won 4 all season, 2 against lower league opposition. We are financially OK due to good management
If you call £30m in debt financially ok then I wouldn’t like to see your credit card bill!!
N’Zogbia is looking like he is bothered
He has to, he wants a move in January for christs sake.
8 points from 7 games, better than the point a game average we need
If your happy with another season of fighting relegation then suppose thats your choice.
Alcaraz looks the part, possibly better than Bramble
That one made me smile
Caldwell yet to play and will strengthen when fit
Whats positive about someone who hasn’t yet played this season and would probably struggle to keep up with me when fit, never mind premier league footballers!
Options on the bench with Moses and others chomping
at the bitChomp at the bit all you like. If Moses is that good why does he never get a game?
Boselli and Di Santo will hopefully hit the ground soon
Thats never a positive in a million years!
Playing against two teams we should be beating next
Another non positive, why the hell ‘should’ we be beating them. They’re probably saying the same about us you know.
Gomez has had a good game and looks like he can build on it.
So thats 1 good game in ……. I cant even be bothered looking.
We aren’t in Liverpool’s current predicament
Your right there. We dont get 40 odd thousand every week, got supporters all over the world and are about to be taken over by a billionaire. Oh and they’re only 2 points behind us.
The pitch looks good
Wouldn’t know, haven’t seen it yet this season.
You can have the rest.
Congratulations, you are a be11end.
If you don’t go to home games, you’re not even allowed to namecheck those that do in your posts, 82. Cut it out right nowApologies G***f. Not technically a name-check see.
Incidentally, was hoping to catch a game next weekend, as I’m home for a week, turns out its international weekend. Bloody rubbish Wigan!!!
ok can anyone explain why our crowds are dying a death?.
The rugby would have taken a few hundred at least away. I know a few fans who support both and I know for certain that they would’ve spent the day in Manchester and watch the latics in the pub rather than watch it at the ground.
People are skint n all, and maybe the novelty of watching Prem week in week out is starting to wear off for the fair-weather supporters. If we have an average of about 11-13 thousand, it’d still be about right for a town and club of our size, no matter what crowds we have attracted in the past.
Incidentally I caught the second half on Internet, and I thought we were quite decent, passed it to death mind, but thats the Martinez way. Can’t sniff at a 2-0 at home no matter what the circumstances. Griff – I don’t even go to home games. Get me. Rebel.
Have to agree with the Roberts shout at Highbury, if only because it sparked one of the craziest goal celebrations ever involving Latics fans.
Was even better cos I got tickets for my mate and his Dad – both Arsenal fans – and they were sat beside me when everything went mental.
Good point. ;)
Be great to see the rugby win the Grand Final; it will take some of the spotlight away from the much-maligned MartinezAye, and it will also attract copious amounts of bellends onto our board. Be careful what you wish for. ;)
To be fair to Arky, I first went on one of his coaches in the League 1 promotion season, so to say he’s only done em for the big PL games is a bit unfair TBH.
Apologies if you’re just both on the wind-up.
Was it Jimmy who wrote that article? TBF James (from this board – don’t get confused), t’was a very good piece of writing what probably summed up what the majority (might be pushing it a bit) are thinking and would write if they had the time or talent to do so.
Hat is doffed in appreciation.
Are we not talking about semi finalists picking who they play next. What has Swindon’s dodgy financial history got to do with picking your opponents.
Actually if you go to the start of the thread it was from a Latics fan saying how he’d enjoyed the atmosphere in a recent game. Somewhere along the way it became a “lets slag off the rugby” session again.
Why do you always quote me and then answer a question that I haven’t even asked.
Football play-offs just as bad???? Don’t be so ridiculous. When did a football team lose in the play-offs then get another chance, or get to pick who they play next?
When Swindon won a playoff final the losers were promoted instead – around 1990.
They were even relegated because of this, it has nothing to do with second chances or picking opponents or whatever it is that is the order of the day int T’hugby.
If this is the only example you can find, just put the straws down.
Eleven of the Kaisers where I am Griff, (Bundesliga team) and you get a train ride included n all with some teams.
Makes you think when Arsenal et al are charging 50 notes plus. Madness.

I had the same thought Filmoss…
Don’t get on the bus James. ;)
