How many times have you heard that? How many times has it been proven true?
That statement alone means Scotland should not be in our team. You can afford missing a few chances in lower league, but in this league you can’t.
The lads tried, of that I have no doubt. But how long do you give him? Half a season, the whole season or may be until his contract expires?
Hopefully, Tuesdays game will be his last.was this the same game that rodders spurned chance after chance,oh and the pens he has missed it should be his last game on Tuesday if he is selected.
You mean the penalties he had saved? Anyone can have a penalty saved, all you can do is hit the target. (Something Scotland can’t do)
Oh, and its the same Rodders whose our leading scorer. Good job its not took him six months and counting to find the back of the net.Its all over t’net and wilkipedia he has signedIt was on Wikipedia, in fact dont know if they have altered it so I will check, that Marco Ruben was a Wigan player last week.
It’s all games with this media lot, trying to get brownie points for who predicts first.
If nothing else, this transfer window has shown me to completely ignore anything in the media.
From now on, I will only be convinced we have made a signing when its on the official site.If you’re comparing Scotland to Heskey, your knowledge of football leaves a lot to be desired.
Even with Heskey, he had someone at the side of him.
Scotland’s crap and our formation is as bad.He brought some fantastic misses. Not as good as the miss from inside the 6 yard box, but some great one on ones messed up.
Hopefully he will be shipped out, useless waste of space. Will he bring the ten commandments with him ?I’ll start:
1) Thou shalt play 4,4,2 at home
Cue
Thou shalt beat the goalkeeper when clean through.
As far as away supports concerned, I think our best this season was at Notts County. We always had a decent away support, don’t know about 70% but there are certainly a lot less than we used to have.
In my humble opinion, the best football we play is when we get the ball out to the wing, try taking men on and get crosses over
You don’t need a dozen passes to give the ball to a winger.
Equally the punt up the field is not an option for us as the man waiting to hold up the ball hasn’t a chance.
Heskey wasn’t a goal scorer, but boy do you see his value to the team when he’s gone.I’ve got an idea. Why doesn’t the rest of the ground try giving some support to the whole team? Martinez fits in well in front of the West Stand, silent with arms folded.
You get a lot of people on here saying you should support the lads, be interesting to see how many actually do.He’s been on SSN saying he didnt want to put the club into debt that could get out of control for Ruben, sounds like maybe they moved the goalposts at the last minute.Oh and all those who think he’s a tightwad, just have a look at Pompey/Leeds for what happens when you spend unrealistic sums on players.
Unrealistic sums on players?
But £2.5m for Jason Scotland is ok? You end up spending more when you have to keep replacing crap.
By that, I take it you have no answer?
Certainly makes you feel that way.
If we really believed what we were saying when calling him “The New Carlos Tevez” is it not a shambolic miss of a future world class superstar?Season ticket prices frozen again?
Yes, as long as you remember the only reason there at this low price is down to fans backlash when prices were pumped up.
If we could get 25,000 on charging £50 a ticket, Whelan would do it.Who said that? Hope you’re not relying on spec.
Are you sure we didn’t agree a fee and then tell them the fee would be spread over so long?
Any way, the question was why can’t we attract players. Ruben wanted to come right? (God knows why admittedly)We can attract players.
Ruben said his goodbyes at Villareal and said he wanted to come here and play in the premier league.
The problem isn’t that players don’t want to come, it’s that Whelan doesn’t want to pay for them. It’s now showing on SSN that sky sources understand Ruben will not be joining us
Just seen that too. Ticslad, have you always been able to see into the future?! Can you predict the lottery numbers this weekend?
Cant take the credit (if thats what to call it) lad on Latics Speyk.
NuneatonLatic, I disagree.
I think it will hurt the likes of myself more, who has seen the club progress from the bottom to the top. After dreaming about it, then living the dream, it would be heart breaking to see us throw it all away.
Your younger fans who aint got a clue about the clubs history etc, rather than hurt them they probably just wont come again were as I will be there as normal to witness what ever the future holds. -
