Probably Burtons best performance of the season from what i saw last night , they were excellent in most areas of the pitch and their goal keeper had a great game.
The worst performance this season though ? Bar non was at home to Sunderland in February in my opinion, last night wasn’t the best i agree and one or two made bad errors and looked very nervy at times and had Josh scored that early chance we may have seen a very different outcome.
Maybe should have started Humphries instead as i feel we didn’t get behind them enough which is something he does in games like that especially on tight sunday league standard pitches.
87 points so far ( 7 clear of third ) and tracking based on average points per game for 97 at the end which will be far in excess of what we need.
A point gained at a club with a pitch on par with Fosters fields and players fired up , i can only see the positives and this will be our finest ever promotion in my view after what happened in 2020.The performance last night wasn’t the best but Burton played out of their skins and we did well to get a point.
The defending at the end from Watts was premier league standard without a doubt.
May have enough for automatic promotion already given Rotherham’s collapse although one more win should cement that for sure.Every next game is massive now but A win tomorrow will surely mean promotion over the Easter weekend.
Seems it is in the stars now and even better that we will most likely bypass those vile bar stewards from Yorkshire on the way up !He was a great player for us of that there is no doubt and if there was a hall of fame he is would be in there for me.
Would have been good to see him play in the premier league for Latics though and I was sad to see him leave at the time.
Hard to criticise whelan though when his era was by far the most successful in the history of the club and may never be bettered.
His money and enthusiasm took the club to ridiculous places far beyond anyone’s wildest imaginations including his own most likely.I think a draw might be the outcome given our performances at home especially against clubs that have brought a big following.
They will be fired up and have an outside chance of the play off spots so will be interesting to see how they start.
As for the safety issue after the game they held their supporters back for the league cup tie and also ours at their place so I’d be surprised if they don’t do that on Saturday given how they act up when they come over here.No disrespect to the other forwards but Callum has been arguably our best player this season and should and will return in my opinion.
His crossing ability alone reminds me very much of the Scotland international John Robertson who played his best football at Nottingham Forest in the late seventies and early eighties.

How stupid though placing international friendlies at this stage of the year ??Magennis filled in for Lang really well and pulled their defenders all over the place.
Great to see him score a goal at last and a much needed one for him and the team.
Looks like 5 wins might be enough to get automatic promotion from the remaining 10 games with the pond life below us needing to win 6 of their remaining 8 to match that.
Sitting very pretty now with this result.not the best tonight but didn’t need to be against a very poor side and more about the three points than the performance.
10 cup finals to come and some tough games amongst them.
