I was watching a documentary yesterday about Accie Stanley filmed in 2008 and he was taking a right bollocking from His manager Bob Hoskins sorry John Coleman during a dressing room half time rant.
Not had an easy life in football but he is certainly going to have a great career in management.
Top bloke all round and a real find for us!A good draw and always enjoyed the tussles with them in the past.
Not one to take lightly though and surely worth having a real bash at this trophy now.He is a slow burner so they may have got to January and turned the tide.
I think that is what would have happened with Cook and they are only 7 points from play off places.
Maybe more to this than meets the eye because he hasn’t been given enough time.
Crazy decisionGet well soon Charlie , a fantastic attacking player who will be hugely missed.
Thoughts with him and his family.Have to give Cambridge credit they played very well at the back and have a goalkeeper that they wont have very long if he keeps playing like that.
Two sucker punches and run of the ball wasn’t there however our manager made some changes at the right time and we kept plugging away showing the character this team has in abundance despite having an off night.
A bit of luck and we might even have nicked it at the end, i couldn’t see anything wrong with the third goal was it handball , foul ???.
on to Plymouth now and arguably the biggest game of the season so far.I think they envisaged he would be like Alex Ferguson and win loads of trophies and stay there for 20 years to build another empire.
Alex had time simply because the media could be better controlled back in the 1980s and any detractors locally or nationally in the press were very quickly dealt with with.
The media now is so vast and wide that it is impossible to control and managers don’t get the time any more.
A new manager will have to hit the ground running and win trophies Al most immediately to keep the detractors at bay .
Feel sorry for OGS he was on a hiding to nothing.
Sleeping giant now that club.I think they envisaged he would be like Alex Ferguson and win loads of trophies and stay there for 20 years to build another empire.

Sleeping giant now that club.Annoying
Going to have a very congested fixture list at this rate.He played a relatively strong side however I don’t think we played particularly well against the hard working non league side.
Two lucky breaks sealed it and proof that the best teams get results even when they are not playing well.
Credit to our superb manager for keeping them going.
I thought our decision making near goal was poor all evening especially when that young Chris ( great prospect btw) came on and ran into good space a couple of times only for our players to selfishly try to steal the glory for themselves.
Our forwards need to realise it’s a team game and shared glory.8887
Be very surprised if he plays a strong team which is the way the game has gone now.
Had some fantastic cup games in the past and one that sticks in my mind was against chesterfield in early eighties.
A declared crowd of nearly 9000 ( looked a lot more ) and a passionate home and away crowd watching a superb 2-2 draw.
A bit of bother here and there obviously but weirdly added to the atmosphere at the wonderful Springfield park.
I doubt we will get anywhere near that attendance today which is a shame.Much better on saturday , played with same gusto as they have been playing away from home.
Hopefully have nailed the bad luck seen at home recently , a nasty little away one at Fleetwood tomorrow though, would take a point there right now!5956
