Had texts yesterday talking about villa away next season.
All nice and dandy but we have six fences to jump yet , let’s just focus on the next one.
Absolutely fantastic to be a Latics supporter at the moment thoughApril fool ?
Quite big queues at the Jonny come lately gates today.
Scruffy goal scruffy win and a few nerves out there I thought.
Great easter and the finish line on sight
Ganet holt nearly scored though and looked pretty useful if you ask me.
No looking back the luck is with usWe have enough quality to dispatch dale surely although it will be a cup final for them – never played here ( new ground )have they?
3 points in the bag on Monday and for me it’s forget being outside the top two lets go after that title.
Banana skin this month is surely Doncaster our bogey sideFelt sorry for them and to me it looked like they thought they had bought a fully functioning bar when they handed the large sum of money over.
How wrong they were and it was car crash telly but how they could shake that bald bar salesmans hand at the end was beyond me.
The daughter had big ideas though didn’t she ?A fantastic performance and win against a fairly good side but we totally outclassed them and could have scored seven or eight goals easily.
Onward to Monday and Rochdull at home and a chance to push for the number one spot that we sure,y can aim for.A fantastic result against one of the best teams I have seen this season.
Nerves seemed a but frayed but good substitutions from caldwell and we nicked it for a deserved win.
The finish line is now in sight and rather than worry about walsall chasing us how about the prospect of catching boreton Albion to Nick the title.
It can be done and to be honest I can’t see us leaving the top two now to be honest.Just focus onColchester like the manager and the lads will do forget the rest.we have 11 cup finals now and every game now will have an extra edge to it.
5 points clear at this stage is fantastic and our low key approach has worked a treat this season.Frustrating game another day and we would have stuck three or four past them and their goalkeeper had a stormer second half after a dodgy start.Great goal from the mighty Grigg again what a great signing he has turned out to be slightly leggy and got desperate near the end but still could have won it if Grigg had finished that last chance.
They looked pacy and dangerous going forward and a point each was about right given that that free kick was an incredible goal but I was gutted at the end as we would have gone 7 clear of 3rd spot which at this stage would have been very significant.
Millbrawl look the danger team in the pack if you ask me and from here on in the games look much tougher and we will have to calm our nerves because I felt the pressure told a bit on the players today.
I still fully expect us to get promoted automatically but we make sure we avoid complacency but it is in our hands and we have the quality to do it.
Up the effing tics !!!!This was our best result of the season and the game changed when morsy was any off as it always does when a man gets sent off.
We defended solidly against a direct side and for me that was a superb performance and a fantastic point won.
The sending off was extremely harsh especially as one of their cloggers got away with something similar and no card given.
i also watched the game in the marquee and it was good night put on by the club for the supporters ,well doneto say 3-0 flattered Bury would be the biggest understatement ever , should have been seven at least.
They were totally outclassed by a team that looks nailed on for automatic promotion.
Jussie the man of the match for those incredible saves shortly before half time but nothing or nobody to complain about this afternoon.
Four points clear of 3 rd spot and on the heels of boring Burton with them still to play.
Can anyone stop us ?best to take one game at a time so thoughts should focus on our bogey team Bury next Saturday.
They had a superb 5-2 win yesterday so it won’t be an easy one and they will be up for it as usual.
We have to maintain the intensity and stay in the top 2 but let’s catch the drab burton team now.
Our average points per game so far suggests a final total of about 85 points which usually achieves automatic promotion at this level.
I try to look no further than the next game but wouldn’t it be great to nail both bury next Saturday and millbrawl in London a week TuesdayI will say my piece in two words
Going up !!!!
Was near the ground last night after my weekly five a side sufferings and all the lights were on with nobody around and took a look through the gates.a the lights were on couldnt work out why
The ground is in a bad spot but how much did this land cost back in the 90s?
Not much I bet given the proximity of the river and that fact it used to house the towns rubbish tip and sewage tanks.
Hardly belgravia is it but it proves we are showing some ambition and promotion is priority this year by the looks of it if they are relaying it now.
The eggs should face pitch inspections just like we have to and no way should that game have been played. -
