They deserve to stay up we don’t .
been on the cards for months and fully deserved!!Get the most promising kids from the reserves and put them in.
Cosgrove , Flores and chow for starters and add a few more as we will be an attraction for hungry lads at that level due to our big ground and passionate support.
We don’t need has beens from other clubs we have tried that and it doesn’t work.
Hopefully the scouting network will get going and the new training ground finished off.its time to stabilise the club and adapt to our new era in the lower divisions one of the hardest places to get out of.
We may be down there for many many years so we have to start again and build a successful youth policy.Far too many chances blown now and far too late to start dreaming of miracles.
agree with the other poster they will comfortably beat Reading who like Brighton have been very lucky this season in my opinion ,two very poor teams blimey we took 7 points from a possible 12 off this pair.FFS you really need to get a sense of humour !!!
Play on words – it’s called satire , look it up
It’s these little teenies that do my head in.kitted out like some film extra on ‘green st’ and mouthing off outside especially around pensioners and children.
A little posse at the corner playing the big I am with some speccy mid life crisis dad alongside them.At least we won’t have to put up with these gobshites next year and they wil still be in the championshit.Blunder land don’t make me laugh !
The only ground where you leave at full time to avoid the traffic.
Hear they have built a giant cot on the stadium of shites carpark ( opens at 3-45 home games) with dummies supplied!good to see he was in a minority and the team spirit seems to be returning which gives a bit of hope,we are going to need it next season in league 1.
The FA cup back then was as big a trophy as you could win simply due to the profile generated by being the only game between league clubs televised live in the football calendar.
the build up and the hype went on all week and the TV channels used to open up at 9am to start the coverage, incredible when you think about that now.To win the trophy back then was seen as a major success for the winning club and saved the careers of many an under pressure manager.
now you are lucky to get a column in the paper a day before the game and the whole thing has been ruined by TV ironically with the ridiculous kick off time and the sanitised ‘new’ wembley that bears absolutely no resemblance to the old model.Maybe that is where the trophy lost some of its sparkle, the old ground was a relic but it’s majestic colliseum style and the camera angles made it feel very special abd for me something was lost forever when it was bulldozed.
When we beat Man city some of the old magic came back just for a bit but when I witnessed scrawpy Arsenal ( from greatest league in world-my Arse!!!!) struggle past Reading last night I realise that it is sadly now a marginal tournament buried under the false hype of the premier league and the mad dash to get there via the championship play offs.Brilliant that he is a Wiganer and let’s hope we see more of the development lads getting chances in the team as his performance was superb yesterday and he gave 100%.
The team has struggled against worse teams than this so it has to be positive even though the standard of football was dreadful at times.Bong ,McLean ,Maguire and Chow all stood out today and how good does it feel to finally get that home win jinx off our backs?
we are still going down but at least we have a bit of pride back and Chows performance is a clear message to get some of our kids into the first team.
congratulations gary indeed!Prediction for today is very easy as it has been all season.
Usual huff and puff ,loads of corners and fluffed chances and then poor defending will see us undone with the only goal of the game as another poor team sits back and easily defends their slender lead against a team with no fight or desire .
another home defeat and relegation to league one and chants of ” we’re SH/t and were sick of it ” ring round ES2 as the tannoy belts out ‘ do I love you’ (??????)for the 100000000th time.
the good thing is we only have one more home game after this to close down the worst ever season since we entered the football league in 1978.
Sorry for the sarcastic tone but the anger is starting to kick on the destruction of a great club in little over 12 months and a realisation that even worse days lie ahead.I agree we don’t deserve to stay up and they both do so I have accepted our relegation which given our atrocious home firm will happen on Saturday regardless.
just a bunch of bullies and cowards, remember that BBC documentary when 30 of them attacked a lone Portsmouth fan returning to his car.It wasn’t hard it was just cowardly bullying like when they attacked innocent supporters in our first season at our new ground and I feel sorry for their ordinary supporters who have to live with these pr/cks week in week out.
Hope everyone got away safely from this god forsaken place.I hope they get a result tomorrow to see off those odious monk chanting bullies and I really hope they survive they deserve to.
