Add him to the list of people in the last 8 years that have
Love that avatar.
Forgive me if this has already been posted, but he has stated he wants to go back on loan again next season, & its doubtful he’ll return to west brom. Hope bobby puts a loan bid in for him then. Was saying this at work to someone. He wants to go on loan somewhere else but to someone who is in Europe. Man mountain that fella, Get him snapped up. Problem is though, We know what Martinez’ history is like with loan signings.
to be going to wembley next week knowing we’re out off the bottom 3. Come on lads give us 3 points todayMy god, God, This is an unreal match today. It is giving me the jitters, same as Sheff Utd away. We win this and we have thrown the league wide open. If we play like we know we can do then we will lick these lot about 4-1.
Ray parlour, cabbage patch doll ;)Fraggle Rock springs to mind.
Wigan v Runcorn 95′
Had only been going a couple of years and was loving my baptism into Springfield Park. Then all of a sudden we are live on the telly. Magical for me that.
Cracking thread
The funniest bit of all these pundits annually coming out of the woodwork this time of season must have realised by now that it just gee’s us up for that extra push. If they all shut up we might just go down. :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
You’re slacking griff, you’ll end up having a day trip to the pulping factory a la partridge!
Only printed on demand, no pulping required. I have made no advance financial outlay whatsoever for either of my books. Do you think I am that daft/confident/flushed? ;)
Pop one on the window sill in the bogs in the Brick and I shall have a flick through it when I next feel the urge for a pre match shit ! ;)
I think we can guess what people would use it for if he left one there
Funnily enough, 5 were left in there recently. They were paid for, taken home and read, presumably. Actually, I’m not srsed if they were read. They were paid for, that’s the main thing.
Why don’t you send us a copy of your book, then I can have a read of that.
I don’t write books, but if I did, they’d probably be the best books in the world.
I’m a lover not a writer ;)
Writing for me is up there with contemporary art. I don’t think i could think of anything worse. I do though however enjoy a good read and have no doubt Griff’s book is full of witty quips as he seems to be ready to pounce with a pun, put down or joke at almost any time.
6 points off top half.
Stuff QPR next week and see what happens.
I got a PM, Cased closed for me ;) ;) ;) ;)
I am a thread killer.
He didn’t say that btw.
Why have you gone all San Quentin on my ass :P :P :P
I would say Figgy’s against Forest a round earlier would take some beating.
Jean did welll yesterday he’s a good outlet and fills in at left back when we are defening he did okBut he didn’t and no he doesn’t. He get’s the ball in every attack and rather than go with the momentum of the ball he goes to the touch line and traps it with his studs. What is the point of trying to play fluent football when it goes to the attacking outlet then stops.
God, It’s just soooooooooooooooo tedious. Come on for friggs sake. Wigan Warriors play Rugby League. Wigan Athletic play football.
Two completely different sports. Two completely different fan bases. Two completely different views. Not once when i go on cherry and white do i see a post about football or slagging Latics off. Well nowhere near the extent it is reversed anyway. It is really very very sad. It shows a level of jealousy and envy that the rugby is brought up all the time. Is it because deep deep down you are scared of them doing well and the media talking about them? Or is it just the fact that Wigan (as a whole) has always (and will always) be associated with rugby rather than football.
Let Wigan Athletic do what they do best. That is piss off the premier league by staying up at the expense of a ‘big club’
And let the rugby do what they do best, That is being the biggest club in the world for that sport.
Sorry to cliche but ‘It’s a completely different ball game’
Alcarez held a shaky defence together yesterday. He should play well with Ramis – if he is still here. Both Alcaraz and Figueroa are out of contract this season and may have to be replaced. And Ramis has to come back from his injury.
Caldwell remains in reserve – he would have been useful against Holt yesterday. Golobart and Lopez are coming along. And there’s Campabadal too. Perhaps Boyce could drop back from wingback to extend his career a little longer.
A cup win might persuade players to stay. Otherwise, Martinez will have to go shopping for a new back line, and then train them to play in his style.
Don’t think that is a major issue though. If we needed a new back 4 i would throw Golobart in there without any hesitation and get 3 better players than we already have. It’s the one area were we need to improve on. Good attacking full backs and a good left winger.
Oh and a new striker because Kone will be on his merry way in the summer to the tune of about 10m. He pisses all over Demba Ba and he plays for Chelsea. He is a 25 goal a season striker and will probably end up at Arsenal i think.
