Shit hot, Forgot how good away days were :P
Missing the point. He doesn’t have to choose. No way will he turn free money down.
And this one will soon cease to be
I can’t see Whelan agreeing to a Saturday afternoon kick-off for the rugby and the BBC have it down as exactly as that.He won’t take the risk of having to play on a dodgy pitch, especially if it’s been bucketing down, with Latics possibly having to win or draw that game to stay in the Prem.
He will. This is Whelan we are talking about here, £££££££ from the BBC. Don’t see the big deal myself. The rugby will play a day before. What difference does it make. You lot are that sad you are having a go at a cup draw in a different sport that makes no difference to your lives or the outcome of Wigan Athletic vs Wolves.
Really really need to get a life.
Stained that hard to yank it out that your nob came out :cheer: :cheer:
Or was that the bait B) B) B)
Good catch btw, Looks more like an infant whale
Weight?…….Of the fish
Bloody hell fatfan. Trying to add summat else there then. I don’t think it was the best. I think it’s on par with about 10 more over the last few years. Most satisfying though. I think   :silly: :silly: I just can’t make up my mind
That is a joke aint it. It must be. And by listing those players you have just identified your age, You are between 13 to 15 hence the reason your feeble attempts at name calling aren’t slightly funny.
Tyldesley, we have reached one of those rare moments where we seem to be in agreement on most things.
But, to me though, it would still be a major achievement if one day we have Wigan lads playing for Wigan Athletic in the Premier League.
After coming through the rugby league biased Wigan schooling system – where football was seen largely a second class pursuit, the borough producing Premier League footballers would signal a coming of age, and prove that Wigan really was a football town.
Agreeing?? Not sure we can have that!!!
Maybe I don’t see the Wiganers in the team as a massive achievement coz unlike you I didn’t go to school in Wigan
At primary school “Up Bongs” I never even saw a rugby league ball & the only way I knew it existed was coz of the challenge cup final on the telly.
Even at secondary school in Leigh once the rugby league obsessed head of PE had left after my 1st year you only really played rugby league if you wanted to be in the school team – which were “national” champions for my last 2 yearsDon’t get me wrong I know the club needs a better youth system than its had since Whelan arrived for the long term future of the club but the borough has long produced professional football players & still does, the trick is getting em to sign for Latics. Due to the nature of football & its worldwide appeal we are never going to be able to have a similar situation as in rugby league where so many of the top English players come from a handful of towns like Wigan
Did you go to Bedford High per-chance Tyldsley
If they didn’t want it copying then they should have disabled the right click or even not bothered putting it there in the first place. It is easy to take a screenshot and save it in microsoft paint. This is all Norwich City f.c’s fault
Surprised at you JR of all people. You moan all season about sticking together then come April when everyone begins to unite you go and post a thing like that. Bucket, stick and shit spring to mind.
Some nice comments from the sensible ones, But blimey, Some bloody bitterness in some of them. Praise through gritted teeth. Even if Nob End had had a good cup run and beaten Man Utd or similar we would i am sure all say well done. Think it’s more jealousy though to be honest. We just waltzed past them on the football pyramid and beat them a lot.
Oh I have no issue with the supporting whoever you like. Im a wiganer and have a love/hate relationship with my town but i would never support anyone else.
Why i say cringe worthy is because football rivalry should be just that, About football, We should be arguing with Bolton and Preston not a team in another sport, Thats just silly. Leeds fans i have met from both sides usually support both or if not have no animosity towards the other. Hull City are lucky because they already have two SL sides to fight it out. I don’t know the situation with Bradford and so on. Fair enough if you don’t like each other, so what. I can’t see why it can’t be confined to the pubs e.t.c why do i have to keep reading it on this message board. I have never seen it on any other from both sides. With the exception of wiganmon and a few others i suspect the majority of the board are in their 40s and 50s and can’t let the past go. Forget about the gay one and just let fans get on with it.
How many Wigan RL fans would travel to London for a Monday night game and pay Arsenal prices for a ticket?
Seeing as two hundred travelled all the way to the south of France at 5 days’ notice for a televised play-off fixture a couple of years ago, I would say a Monday night trip to London would be quite well attended.
So if so many travelled to France for a play-off game, why do so few turn up for play-off games at home (sub 6,000 on several occasions if I remember rightly)? The reason for not attending these games has been cited as being financial.
Therefore, if you really think a mid-week trip to London would be well attended, you are clearly talking out of your aris.
To be honest Standish you all are. Why do you all persist with this bickering. None of you are right and what is the point of arguing over speculation. Im disappointed in Latics fans for taking the mickey out of a cup attendance though. Our record in that department has been embarrassing and is much more scrutinized by the media and other fans. Football is in the spotlight constantly but rugby isnt so it can get away with it. Why can’t you all just let each other support whoever they like and how they like. You can go on forever name calling against each other but there will never be a winner. You DO occasionally shout facts at each other like attendances and so on but even when they are used it’s more often like for like. The attendances are very similar so nobody can take the high ground.
I’m embarrassed for you all, For all the outsiders who read these boards it must be cringe worthy.
But yet again, within minutes of a Warriors defeat the most boring man in the world cant wait to get on this thread. I support both so i have a considered approach to the subject. It’s easy, Just do away with the thread and stop trying to score brownie points against each other because no one will ever win. This thread could reach page 127 and the same dribble will be on every page. Getting a life is a much better suggestion.
Just done the BBC Predictor again. Not good. Relegated by a point, but what do I know, hey?
Chelsea 0-2
Man U 1-3
Arsenal 0-2
Fulham 1-1
Newcastle 1-1
Blackburn 1-1
Wolves 2-1Not the scores or the predictor thingy, but the results are exactly how i see the season panning out. Don’t rate Chelsea though and there is renewed optimism. Can’t believe im saying we can win at Chelsea it seems silly, But we can. :woohoo:
