It is going to happen. With that clown in charge it is.
And it’s ok i will just keep letting everyone know every week after every defeat that we are going to be relegated. We should not have been relegated 6 years ago because we played good football 6 years ago. It is not hard to do again if the tight arse chairman put his money in his pocket for decent players and a decent manager rather than name call the fans and comment about other clubs.
Why would i do that. I don’t want us to go down like anyone but if this is all we are in for every year. A boring season winning 3 at home and just hoping to scrape survival then i would rather be in the championship or lower. get some glamour back into the cup games and be in a division where there is a chance to see your team try to win without relying on over paid dross.
Kenny Swain finished 3 places above the relegation zone and had just under a season in charge.
Roberto Martinez has constantly been in and around the bottom three for two and a half years. No contest. Not in an era where lads off estates could get a game in the football league. We are talking someone who has blown millions of pounds on utter crap and got them playing the opposite way they should.
No point, im 6ft 4″ these days and around 15st so i cant fit through gaps like that any more. :P :P

But for what it’s worth. Time in the hot seat and all that i think Bob too. Totally inept. It does not take a genius to know they need someone in the dressing room who will put the fear of god into the players not mother them when they give goals away. I could even do it.

Let’s be honest. If we don’t get anything out of November then we are effectively relegated for Christmas. But we have made progress haven’t we :blink: :blink:
Finishing 16th then 16th again and now second bottom is not progress. 4-0 home defeat at home to Blackpool, 9-1, 8-0, 6-0. Hardly score lines of an established and progressing Premiership club. Getting embarrassingly whacked out of every cup competition by lower league opposition to boot. What exactly has he done to earn so much praise from everyone because all i can see is a woeful job. And i won’t get started on the way he tries to get us playing.
Maybe so but we didn’t score again nor did we pick up any points. Positives are what Martinez uses as an excuse for another game without anything to show for.
Sorry but it just aint good enough. Goals get points, Points elevate league positions.

How can you prepare for something like that after so many years of non progress. Stoke, Wolves, West Brom e.t.c have all had a go and are in a considerably better position than us. Even Blackpool had a stab at good attacking football. Don’t parp on about fan bases and all that because it means nothing.So it means nothing fan bases eh well I suppose the likes of Stoke Wolves West Brom dont have 20000 plus season ticket holders paying perhaps double what Wigan season ticket holders pay
Re-invest some of that 400 and odd million you have received and you will see a change in the peoples attitude.

We had 20 odd thousand, Dave drove them away with his ridiculous ‘sell our best players whenever we can policy’
He has got rid of 58m or so he says. That is our money not his. What debt did we have when he took over, About £250,000 so if the club was in 58m of debt then that is Whelan who put the debt there in the first place. Then he says “oh look what i have done for this club, Look at the size of my wang” Almost making out that it was everyone else who put the debt there and he got rid of it as a good will gesture, So if everyone does not bum him now then all the fans don’t deserve a football team e.t.c e.t.c. You don’t fool me Dave, We have kept the club going because no other fans would put up with his sh*t. The amount he get’s every year from sky and transfers then gives a manager say 5m of it to spend on players. I want us to go down, This league and the way he expects fans to watch a team deliberately not wanting to progress it’s what we deserve. I also don’t see how some of you have missed all the blatant contradictions and lies he also tell. I can roll 3 off the top of my head without even trying to think of them.
1. “You get us promoted Paul Jewell and you can have the 25m bonus for getting there to spend on new players and i will double it” Bull, If Jewell had 50m to spend he would have spent it. Not 6m. Now i do understand that spending 50m would have been impossible at that early stage, But he shouldn’t say it if he doesn’t mean it, Just to get fans through the turnstiles.
2. “I can categorically say that there will be no players moving in this transfer window” Then what happened, Palacios and Heskey walked.
3. “In 3 years i want us to be challenging for Europe” Then when he realised it’s much easier and financially rewarding to survive every year just he now says “Well we just want to avoid relegation really” Yeah, really going to get the fans pouring in that one Dave.
You can fool some fans Whelan but some see through you.
And i have never worked for him. That’s just another shield you use when someone dares to question him.
