Nobody was happy when wildchutt left but 7 million was a good deal.
Nobody happy now Griggs sold but I would of taken 4 million for a player suited to league 1.

Paul Cook: “The club desperately wanted to keep Will but this is an offer we simply couldn’t refuse.

“This comes with so much emotional attachment because Will is so popular with our supporters and is somebody who has given everyone associated with the club so many great moments during, not just my time as the club’s manager, but throughout his three-and-a-half years at Wigan Athletic.

“We all wish Will the very best for the future.”

What an heap of crap that is.

Because he made him 3rd choice ?. I think blaming other players injuries on why your not been played is about as weak an excuse as you’ll ever get,

          Can you imagine it:

“Sorry Harry bench today m8, Ali and Ericsson aren’t fit I’ll get back to you when they are”

He was the best forward at the club who didn’t suit Cooks style or player profile. Yes the money was right but I’m sure it wasn’t the sole reason as Cook would like you to think the bullshitter.

“Best forward at the club” based on what? His record in League One and not backed up by any evidence he was better than any others at the club at this level?

Anyway, 3rd choice or not the club were not necessarily falling over themselves to sell him, turning down several (eight if you believe the BBC website) attempts by Sunderland until, in the end, they met the valuation.

Nah, we sold him back in October but dragged it out and lied to everyone so that they could have something to moan about. Darren Royle was going to personally ring all the fans that were there back in the 70s from a caravan outside the training ground using an old dial up telephone but then he opted not to so that they could whinge about that too.

Stats ?…How many starts has he had ? Won’t net bench warming. Love it when posters trawl out “he wasn’t good enough fo the championship “tripe. Manager didn’t want him ,or utilise his strengths .So who we left with ? Garner/Clarke. Seriously prefer those 2 and the style of play that comes with them ? Play that has so far bombed. What happens when Clarke’s loan ends as well as Jame’s and Powell limps off to pastures new ?.On this evidence we will spend the summer shopping at the transfer market equivalent of Herons Food. Cook should have been fired Jan 1st and new man optimise what we had …….reason didn’t happen IEC probably couldn’t afford to pay his contract up. If your justifying his sale then you’ll be happy no matter what shit goes down at our club now.

We turned down 5 bids, but as Cook said, everyone has a price.
