He didn’t look ‘out special where I was sitting.
I’ll post a comment so maybe no one else will and we can put this thread to bed.I feel like I’m the biggest thread killer on this site anyway !! B)
Fingers crossed. :P
Waste of time or wot ??
It’s been credited as an OG now but I’m glad we will now have a proper striker upfront. It was Holts pressure that caused the OG.
Remedied by substitution after an hour but, strangely, it made little difference to play. But it did make a difference to the result which is all that matters at the end of the day
Correct it made a great difference.
Once McClean was on his “right” side he combined well with Jean Beau and that made a hell of a difference. Most of the play was down the left.
Great win and fully deserved.
We absolutely battered them 2nd half.Sitting in the South Stand it was wierd to watch us have so much possession and sling in so many crosses and win so many corners. The equaliser came from our 5th consecutive corner.I don’t ever remember that before.
Still unbeaten at home as well.
Loads better when Holt came on and McClean moved to the left.
Great goal Boycey !! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:
What a shower of dirty gets they were as well – Always hated Blackburn !!
So pleased we won.
Onwards and upwards. :cheer:
Can’t believe he said what he said. What a toss pot.Harsh mate.
He was a great player for us and as Garswood stated it was 2006 when he left for Fulham and I doubt he’s been back since.
This was a great goal.
When he played it was true. Not like him to be out of date (look at his hair!)
He modelled his hair on mine mate !! :)
Mind you looking at him this morning he’s run out of shampoo !!
Maribor’s number 14. Looked a bit of a handful last night and head and shoulders above the rest of their team. Googled him and his career thus far suggests he ain’t that good. He looked half decent to me and bust a gut for ’em.I wonder if Mr. Coyle noticed?
Offer a million for him in January !!!!!
Peanuts in todays market and he might be a diamond in the rough.

I haven’t been impressed with him either but at least he’s an out and out striker which Powell obviously isn’t despite his 2 goals on Thursday.
If Holt does play then I’d play McMananman and Jean Beau as the 2 wide players, Powell behind with McArthur and Watson holding.
Back 4 Perch at left back then 3 from Boyce, Barnett, Rogne and Shotton.
Carson in goal obviously.
BELIEVE !!!!!!!! :cheer:
Holt may be back this afternoon.
Like to see him up front with Powell behind him – if he does actually play.
Well they were poor today despite taking the lead early on.
City outplayed them completely.
I think this thread should be put to bed and I am going to try and end it succinctly….
Thanks RM for the FA Cup and adding ‘Little Wigan’ to the football history annals.
Thanks RM for finally capitulating and taking us down and then fucking off with loads of the club’s staff and the best best player from each key position ie Keeper, Defender, Midfielder and Attacker !
I think they call it ‘Hero To Zero’ in the business ! Good luck Roberto !To be fair the goalie was on loan and the defender out of contract though.
We Could try and get Kone back on loan as he obviously won’t get a game for them unless Lukaku and Jelavic are injured I imagine. However the Anichebe transfer has probably put the mockers on that idea !!
Beausejour was sensational in the first half. But they were shockingly poor – just look at the first goal!
Wigan should have been home and dry by half time but turned down the other free gifts they offered. Amazingly, in the second half, Wigan had to rely on a fantastic save from Carson – yet again – to stop them equalising.
So, a great occasion, but an indifferent football match.
I thought he was OK in the 2nd as well.
It’s the best performance by him I’ve seen I reckon.
As for the team performance in the 2nd half …..
The substitutions didn’t help. The performance dipped when McMananman and Watson went off.
McClean is so one footed it’s untrue and as for McCann …………..
Games like this are made for Gomez though, they gave him the space and time to pick a pass – like for the 2nd goal for example.
It does look like we are improving as a team though. We just need a striker.
Yeah but he did pick the team and certainly out thought Mancini tactically on the day. Playing McArthur at right wing back no one expected for example.
I was never his biggest fan and wasn’t that sorry he went to be honest.
I’m amazed some people are so bitter though.
Have you never wanted to move up the ladder and better yourself? You can’t blame him for that. Every successful person has to have a ruthless streak.Would you want to get on the wrong side of our chairman? :)
It would be great if Liverpool,Spurs and Everton all finished in the top 4.The PL needs a good shake up.
