I will be there next season, because i am a true Latics fan forever.

When you have seen us get beaten 4-0 at Frickley, relegation from Division 2 is just beer and skittles.
All these tarts jumping ship can fuck off for me.
We are Wigan Athletic, enjoy the ride and stop fucking moaning.

Well think about this. At 3.30 am Saturday morning I’ll be the moaning tart in the taxi heading for Berlin aiport to get my 6 am flight to Manchester to ensure I don’t miss our game against mighty Rotheram ……………… :P

I’m fed up of of living my life and arranging holidays around Saturday fixtures. Whats the point of forking out for a season ticket if you end up missing half a dozen games.I’ll still be there next season. But it won’t be every game.

And I’ll get more Weekends in The Lakes……… B)

Can’t fault your loyalty but I’ve had enough I’m afraid. :(

No season ticket for me next season. I’ll pick my matches. Probably the midweek games as I want my Satudays back to do other stuff. ;)

    An eloquant well reasoned argument.

I do agree with a lot of what you say. He and the young players have been brought in in readiness for next year in League 1.

However if this health scare turns out to be more serious and he’s unable to continue, the plan will spectacularly backfire I fear ………… :(

    in reply to: DROSS #155891

end of day after today im no longer arsed ill save my money ;)

Just what we need. Fans getting behind the club. It sadly cant always be about promotions & winning cups, sometimes football serves up dross. Yes today was absolute dross. But we still need to get behind them.[/quote]

Sorry mate but theres only so much shite you can put up with and if they can’t be arsed then why should I/we.

There was one occasion in the first half when Bogle broke away. He made it to the by line looked up and who was in the box?? NO-ONE !! The midfield should have been busting a gut to get in the box but nothing no effort.

Its soul destroying and I’ve really had enough. I’ve got better things to do on a Saturday afternoon I’m sure than put up with this. No more season tickets for me after this one.

The “Manager” is inept. Who the hell starts with 2 big lads upfront but doesn’t play a winger???

Then in the 2nd half when the so called winger is poised to come on, he takes off one of the big lads and sticks the so called winger upfront…… Whats that all about??

The reaction of the crowd when Grigg came on for Bogle summed it all up.

    He’s feckin clueless !!

He needs to hang up his stupid shorts and piss off back to Old Trafford or Preston or St Helens or wherever asap!!!! PLEASE !!!

Ranieri is out of work ??? :P

You really are bitter men some of you.

    From Wigan World

Explaining the situation, Wigan Warriors chairman, Ian Lenagan, said: “With the inclement weather over the last day resulting in intermittent standing water on the pitch and the further forecasted bad weather over the next 24 hours, the DW Stadium pitch simply cannot sustain two games this weekend.

“With Wigan Athletic’s season at such a critical stage and after detailed discussions between myself and Wigan Athletic chairman, David Sharpe, it was agreed that they need to play this fixture more than we need to play ours.

Believe it or not but I think its an honourable decision from the Rugby.

Still can’t score from open play…………..

We be screwed basically !!!!!

I met my mate on the concourse at half time and we agreed it had been a really entertaining half.

However at full time I sat really pissed off – it felt like a loss. I can recall one shot on target and that was Bogle creating it for himself in the 1st half. We created sod all else. The final ball was atrocious – first man or wildly over hit.

Huffing and puffing is all very well but pointless with negative creativity. Morsy was anonymous for most of today.McDonald had a fine game defensively and Tunnicliffe had a good 1st half. But non of them created anything. Grigg tries hard but looks short at this level.Power is too slow and doesn’t react quickly enough at this level.

Gilby looked very good before his injury I’d like to see him back when fit. I presume Obertan is lacking fitness as well but I agree Joyce was too scared to chuck him on for 20 minutes. The point was too important to him and retention was his primary goal. I’d argue 3 points were far more important and he should have had the bottle to go for 3 rather than settling for 1.

We won’t stat up with draws – and when did we last score from open play ????

Paella and red wine now to cheer me up.

    Cheers B)

Wonder how Wycombe approached it at Spurs…..no gung-ho just take em on and put THEM under a bit of pressure, Christ it wasn’t the strongest Utd team .If we lose so what but that was insipid…..4th from bottom will do but not a chance unless we get strikers in…..cos I’m sure you’ve notice we are championship lowest scorers and playing Grigg as we do are you surprised he’s 1 goal in 17 games ???..Joyce has steadied the ship but needs to be more attack minded….we’ll he could be had we more than 1 forward..@@@@@@g joke.!!!

    Utd’s 2nd 11 is stronger the Tottenhams I’d argue ……………

Anyway Friday and the Norwich home games are more important.

We’ve scored 1 goal at Old Trafford in what 9 goes and that was a last minute Baines penalty in 2006 I think.

We were 1 minute away from a perfect 1st half performance.

You really didn’t think we were going to go gung ho at them did you – they would have scored a hatful similar to their 3rd if we had.

We should have been 1-0 up if Jacobs had connected instead of that air shot in the 1st half.

Morseys performance showed the class difference between the PL and the Championship. He was fairly anonymous today.

That was one of our better performances there and we should be OK for the rest of the season.

4th bottom will do at this stage then we can take stock and consolodate ready for next season.

in reply to: Nobbers at home #154548

I’m afraid I can’t take anyone seriously if they resort to calling a team Nob End.

Nobbers – How old are you? Twelve??

As for the East Stand giving up their seats. No chance. Most ridiculous suggestion I’ve heard for years.

Bollocks to the money. Why would you want to increase Prestons support anyway? I’d be more concerned giving out free tickets to the local schools to increase our support.

Did we ever score at Manure in the league?

All ST holders should get tickets B)

Second Season in PL. Boxing Day Baines Penalty and we stayed up by 1 goal after we beat Sheff Utd on last day of the season !!!

in reply to: Man Utd: Who’s Going? #153955

    Nope

in reply to: Todays game…. #152841

Grigg came on after 54 minutes. He played some really nice touches as well. No fitness problems there it appears. Did feel sorry for Jordi though cos he was playing well.

2nd half was as well as I’ve seen us play recently if we carry on like that we’ll be OK.

    #optimistic

Well I hope his team talk tomorrowis more inspiring than his interview on Granada Reports last night.

Very Dour – He’s no Klopp thats for sure !!

    Obviously it wasn’t then !!! :P

    That was awful.

There is only one way to go and thats up – can it get any worse than that?

The keeper is a disgrace. No guts at all. He had loads of time to clear that first one but he bottled it totally. Defense all over the place for no 2 and lets be honest it was all over after 4 mins 22 seconds.

    Pathetic display.

in reply to: Ali Al Habsi #152148

They need to pepper him with shots and make sure Grigg is following up. He always had a nasty habit of pushing one out to the opposition when he was with us !!
