Jeff Wright was a decent player but he was probably on a different wavelength to others in the team.
I remember him playing some fantastic passes but the “passee” was heading in the opposite direction.
He was the target for a lot of the boo boys because he tried to do things that didn’t come off and he was comfortable on the ball which made the clogger fans think he was lazy. He was a bit like Langley really, probably deserved higher grade football at the time.
I thought Robbo was great
To title your thread “FAO Roberto Martinez” and then to come out with such invective is a disgrace.
Two matches into the season and you are already having a go at a man who is a legend at this club.
What on earth are you expecting this year, Champion’s f….. League football? Get back on this planet.
Bob could be the manager who turns this club into the colourful, attacking Premier League force that we all want. But it won’t happen overnight.
We are taking giant steps forward every season.
I wish I could say you should hang your head in shame when things shape up, but I honestly believe you won’t even accept success when it comes without some ridiculous attack on our club.
Go and support Man Utd. Oh sorry they’ve just sold Ronaldo and Tevez, bloody rubbish Ferguson!
Well done for last night. You did the basics right and could have won by more.
Your supporters were loud and rude and that’s what we expect when a team is beating us.
I think you have the battling spirit and the players to stay up, but it might be a long season.
Probably right, but you have to give Wolves credit. Whoever was out there had to work hard for openings.
Wolves will be difficult to beat this season away from Molyneux because McCarthy has them well organised. He didn’t get over-excited by the result last night and perhaps one or two on this board should learn from his reaction.
I am confident we are a better team but I am also willing to give Bobby time to get things going.
I stand to be corrected but I think we will be able to show a lot more against United on Saturday and I am looking forward to playing West Ham. Whatever the results they will be cracking games and a good measure of where we are at.
But again, if we get beat I won’t be surprised by some peoples’ reactions here.
But they are former pros. Not journalists who only write what the Big Four, Five, Six, Seven….. want to hear.
Oh woe for Martin O’Neil. His players were so bad they made Wigan look good. Never the other way round.
And check out all the mistakes, which they can’t be arsed checking up on. If they had their way we’d have all been off to Utrecht and Frankfurt pre season. Unprofessional.
Hansen never has a bad word to say about us, because he obviously understands the game and just what we have to deal with as a “small” club. Top lad
