I didn’t say anything about his managerial capabilities, I just said he was a nob.
Griff on the other hand makes reasonable comments on this site so I don’t understand how calling David Moyes a nob was seen as an excuse to have a go at Griff?
BTW Brendan Rodgers is a nob too
I have to say that in all my years of fishing I have never had a bite as quick as that one.
Very pleasing B)
I was winding you up, you daft bugger, I think we’ll do ok this year, looking forward to it, I think even if Moses goes we will be an improved squad from last year, there how’s that?!Also looking forward to seeing how utd shape up with rvp and rooney, should be exciting at the top again, who knows, we could be up there for some of it?!
And here we see exactly what kind of “Latics fan” John Doe really is. More kin interested in Man United than supporting his own team
Stay away
I’m afraid it’s a case of new season and same old plastic fans pretending to support their football team
They need treatment, they really do
I hope you’re joking????
Who on earth do you expect us to sign?
All four look very good to me
Cheers for that!
Knees Up Mother Brown forum has a lovely thread “Welcome Ivan Ramis”.
It’s like talking to someone with a split personality. “We got him/we ain’t” “he’s good/he ain’t” “Wigan are cack/they ain’t”
West Ham are such a better club than us just listen to their fans – who were watching Championship football last season.
Now they wish we would go down because Dave is smug. Let’s take a look at their chairman in his Russian hat!!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
Is it me or have West Ham put a bid in for everyone this summer?
They are now trying to hijack a Bolton deal for some Costa Rican.
Does anyone really want to go to a club run by Spivs and managed by Fat Sam?
Ninth . . .
No . . hang on a minute
Eighth
OWEN DOWN, OWEN DOWN, OWEN DOWN :woohoo:
Golden Cup almost under the M65 has been a Latics stronghold for the past few years. Limited food – butties – but Maccas is nearby
Great post
It’s nights like last night that give you a warm glow and remind you that when we all stick together and support our team that amazing things can happen.
We all know it’s going to be a rough ride along the way, but that’s because we support Little Wigan. But to see the spontaneous support for the lads was wonderful despite all the barracking we get from outside.
High points:
- Ali! Ali! Ali! after the penalty save is still sending shivers down my spine
- The boos drowing out the Scousers as the racist traipsed off the pitch
- The roars drowing out the moaners – who were still moaning!
- The fact that we could have a good laugh despite getting more and more nervous as the game went on
It was just like the old days and our new year’s resolution must be to get behind Bob and the team to keep us in this horribly biased Premier League and prove them all wrong yet again.
The referee didn’t see the corner incident and, therefore, should have consulted his linesman and fourth official. He didn’t. If he had any doubt he should have disallowed the goal and ordered the corner to be taken again.
the referee did see Victor being tripped in the area, but gave nothing.
In my opinion the referee is incompetent and cost us three points.
Frankly I am amazed to see Wigan Athletic fans attempting to defend the referee or refer to other incidents and suggest it’s “swings and roundabouts”. Do you actually call yourselves Wigan Athletic supporters?
On the same subject – any idiots who booed the team off after Saturday’s performance would be better off staying at home.
In 40 years of watching Latics I have never come across so many fans who know so little about the game and supporting your team. I have been involved in major rows when opposition supporters have slagged off my team, but now I am hearing racist, obnoxious comments from a silly minority of fans. The decisions going against us should provide us with a siege mentality, but too many of you have slumped off into a corner and given up. Put up a bit of a fight for God’s sake.
Once again you will tell me it is simply your opinion. Well we have heard it now. The manager is totally committed to Wigan Athletic, the players all gave 110% on Saturday, maybe it is time we were united and gave them our support.
Perhaps it would help.
Booing them certainly doesn’t.
I actually started this thread to wind people up but it’s become a conversation between Marx and Lenin and Aristotle!
The point about Gordon Brown is lost as many supporters of political parties stick to their allegiances whatever happens. Hence I would always back what Brown did and believe it would have a positive outcome. The alternative would be a Tory/Lib Dem Alliance. Now that would be a disaster.
However my thread was also attacked for mentioning the popular cultural medium of television. Therefore how would the present Big Brother house be quantified by the intellectual thinkers who believed the first programme was an interesting socialogical experiment? Can Briatin’s music-buying population ever escape the influence of Cowell? Can a dumbed down programme like Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor be dumbed down even further? Have any members of the Darkside been watching Latics longer than six years?
Not bad for a clever comeback.
But again a bit short on supporting your team through thick and thin
