The pitch wasn’t playable. Some parts were waterlogged and the ball wouldn’t even roll. All the main routes to the ground and parts of the car park near the Douglas were flooded too.

My first Latics match, what a journey since that night. I remember the next round v Mansfield and it kicked off all good style. Left a lasting impression, beltin.

Caldwell out May be a bit harsh considering all the injuries we’ve got but hes the one who chooses the tactics.

The shambolic defending hasn’t and won’t be sorted by a manager who couldn’t defend when he was a player. The bloke hasn’t a clue and with his negative approach it won’t be long before he starts emptying the stadium. Apart from Scunny there hasn’t been one decent performance for a full 90 minutes against some piss poor or average at best, teams in this league. Caldwell out.

Were going to be lucky if we get 33 points never mind hundred.

I’m behind him. Can’t wait to see him giving the ground another right hook when we drop in to the conference. Back where we started

Mutty, I thought you being a rugby fan you would be singing the praises of Dave Whelan, after all he saved our towns rugby club from bankruptcy. After all the success they had in the eighties they still ended up skint. Both sets of fans owe Whelan a big thank you. Enjoy your retirement Mr Whelan

Colin is back in Wigan. They took him to Wigan Hospital this morning where he is in intensive care. I’m sure he will be grateful for the concern shown by everyone

Hopefully moving Colin back up north, to Salford as soon as his condition improves. He has woke up a few times but not spoken as yet but he is improving according to what I’ve been told

Colin’s my uncle. He’s in an induced coma at queen Elizabeth hospital Birmingham. As far as I know he’s in critical care. Still waiting for further news

Like Bolton last week and Rotherham a couple of weeks earlier, it’s no point stepping up when your giving the opposition a head start. The team need to be at it from first to last whistle. Baffling selections, negative tactics and shit attitudes of most of the team have created a situation that is going to be very hard to turn around.

Adkins for me. Did good at Scunthorpe and Southampton. Ex Latics player got a history with the club and he seems a good egg unlike the prick we’ve got now. I didn’t want Mackay but have supported him up to now. We were decent 2nd half against Bolton so the players have shown they can play when they can be arsed. Don’t think Malky or his selections are doing the trick

Good read. My mum bought a golly wog from a shop in Devon last year. The woman in the shop said they’re not called golly wogs anymore. What the fuck she wanted a golly wog fridge magnet for is beyond me.

Number 1. Watched the club from non league to premier league and fa trophy to fa cup winners. Didn’t really want Malky but after all the shite him and Whelan are getting my support is bordering on insane fanaticism. Up the tics

in reply to: Siege mentality #135836

Totally agree I didn’t want Mackay but after all the over reaction by the media I’m 100% behind him. Whelan has been compared to the Yorkshire ripper, Ched Evans and the fucking Nazi party over the last 24 hours, disgraceful
