Except, of course, when they didn’t score one.

Sorry jr, but I don’t think we’re going to agree on this.

What on earth did you mean to imply by tock fekin tick if not that in time “Bottom Four Bob” was sure to take Everton into the bottom four?

    Waregem will play in Brugge

The link is to the website of SV Zulte Waregem. They had announced that they would play the game at Brugge.

    That may be true.

But Blackburn had their centre half sent off after 30 minutes. Coyle waited until the 57th minute before bringing Holt on as a substitute.

Wigan scored the equalizer after 69 minutes, and the winner in injury time. That is leaving it rather late.

They can’t rely on scoring last minute goals game after game. If they can’t create more clear chances, they are going to be caught out sooner or later.

Please answer my question and show me were I predicted that Everton would finish in the bottom 4. That link you have spent ages reaping up doesn’t say jack shyte about finishing in the bottom 4. Once again you are making yourself look a numpty which is a pity as there may be a decent poster in that thick plank of a head of yours.

This thread is titled How long before “Bottom Four Bob” takes Everton to the wrong end of the table? Just read your post again.

You claimed that Everton had suffered a series of poor results. You then joined LostockHallLatic in counting down to the day that “Bottom Four Bob” would take Everton to the wrong end of the table.

Where did you think “Bottom Four Bob” was taking them if not the bottom four? Did you then expect their results under Martinez suddenly to improve and Everton to rise up the table? You didn’t say so.

    Tick tock.

But I’m not complaining that we scored from set pieces! I’m just trying to look ahead. I’m concerned that if we find it difficult to create chances, then we will continue to find it difficult to score goals.

We were fortunate on Sunday. Blackburn had their centre-half sent off and we had Holt sitting on the sub’s bench and ready to come on and threaten them at corners. Things won’t always be so convenient.

We’ve scored important late and last minute goals against Doncaster, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Maribor and Blackburn. The danger is that one day we’re going to run out of time before we score.

There will be one empty seat.

Blackpool manager Paul Ince has been given a five-match stadium ban by the Football Association for his conduct towards a match official following his side’s 2-1 win at Bournemouth.

The suspension, which will begin with immediate effect, prevents former England captain Ince from attending the ground where his side are playing on a match day, starting with the home game against Wigan on 19 October.

And it was after his team won!

in reply to: Coyle so far… #122055

We should be doing much better at home this season.

Last season, we were very much one of the poor relations. Now we are able to match the spending of most clubs.

However, whilst I did enjoy the games last season, this season I am enjoying the wins.

in reply to: Coyle so far… #122045

Injuries and a busy programme have made it a difficult start for Coyle. I too think that the experience of the team has played an important part so far.

The defence seems to have settled down now. But we are still waiting to see how the forwards will perform.

I can’t really say what Coyle’s plans are for midfield. I just hope that he will eventually choose to play through it rather than over it. After all, it is the strongest part of our squad.

If the way we play has not been very exciting, then the games certainly have been. We’ve had crucial late and last minute goals against Doncaster, Middlesbrough, Ipswich, Maribor and Blackburn!

in reply to: How Long Before “Bottom Four Bob” #122043

I think that you’ve moved the goal posts – that’s a breach of FIFA rules.

Anyway, enjoy your trips to Goodison. Tell us how the season ends.

in reply to: How Long Before “Bottom Four Bob” #122034

    You may be right.

But I’m not going to waste it like you and jrfatfan criticising the man who left Wigan at the end of last season.

    in reply to: Blackburn #122030

It didn’t look as if Coyle was enjoying the way they were playing either. He was jumping up and down on the touch line and shouting and waving at them to try harder.

He threw his arms in the air in exasperation whenever they lost the ball, which was quite often. When things got too much for him, he stamped on a water bottle and kicked one away. You can get into trouble doing that.

But the players were trying. They don’t need to try harder, they need someone to channel their efforts in a clear direction. I think you’re right. A break from football would do Coyle good too.

It’s on this thread – and only three weeks ago! You and your fellow Bobby fanatics predicted that Roberto would take Everton into the bottom four.

You were so sure that this was going to happen that you were gleefully ticking off the minutes until it happened. Tick tock indeed.

Yip he beat a big club today but be prepared for him drawing against the likes of Cardiff, West Brom, Norwich and struggle to beat Stevenage in the cup…..oh he already has done??, come on lad if you heard the commentary on 5 live coming home from Leicester, Chelsea should have been 6 nil up at half time. tock fekin tick.

I trust you are still following the progress of Roberto at Everton. Perhaps “Cup Winner Bob” will win the cup for them too.

    in reply to: Blackburn #122025

And perhaps you will have got over Roberto too.
