I save posts for something that needs saying in the main,and I feel this needs to be said.

I was sat on the next table to a well known Latics senior figure. I am not going to say who as it isn’t fair on the person who took time out from his meal with his family to talk to me.Now, for most of you who know me on this board, I am very much Pro-Martinez and think he is doing more good for our great club than bad. Anyway, some interesting things came out of the chat.
– The first 15 minutes, latics tried to do a game plan but it went very wrong mainly due to the Figg mistake.
– We are stuggling with the timeing of injuries and breaking people into the squad.
– We can’t just throw new players into the squad straigth away as it can backfire quite badly (not to sure if this was a reference to Boselli).
– Gohori was 90% fit but there was nobody else who was fit who could try and handle Bale….Stam is good going forward, but not too good when he does’t have the ball.
– A new formation will be played when a certain player returns from injury (think of the second half against Spurs)
– Everyone is raving about Crusat within the club due to his speed and skill. He will be making a start fairly soon.I honestly beleive we will be a really good side this season. We have been beaten by a very good Man City Side, Should have beat Everton if we had a bit of luck and also matched a top 4 side in Spurs through the second half.
I think when our defence is back and we have bedded in these new players, we will be a good outfit.
All these people on here who think they know more than Bob and hs staff are absolute clowns…maybe if you listened to the people in the job, you would see why things are done in the way they are.

Mr. Primate, you cant call other peoples level of intelligence when suggesting that we should be happy losing to the likes of spurs, utd, liverpool et al. Ambition, winning, europe and that frigging warchest are all quotes by our chairman and echoed by the useless prick with the folded arms. Interested to see what perception people have of visiting away games. As a “for instance” my wife and I visted City on Saturday and were searched – bags searched and patted down – had our drink (bottle of cheap cola) confiscated and my wife was asked if she had a lighter on her – as a lifelong non-smoker.
I presume we fit the hooligan demographic – aged 61 and 57.
No City supporters seemed to get frisked. Bottles of cola were available in the ground at £2.50 and presumably any smokers would have their lighters confiscated, or were they looking for arsonists?
The problem for me was this was all done with a poor grace and no customer empathy. Seemed to be a box ticking exercise “just following the rules”.
I presume that City do not want repeat visits. My son came home after game and told me this,i e-mailed cith and they didnt denigh any of it and the reply i got to say the least was snotty and ignorant :angry-soapbox:What has left a bad taste in his mouth, I must have missed summutApart from the obvious jokes ;)

Is anyone else a little frustrated/jealous seeing Wright Phillips, Barton and Bellamy (if he goes) signing for QPR whilst we bring in an unknown and Shaun Maloney?Ill be behind anyone who puts on a Latics shirt but I do wish we would get a more established PL player. Theres plenty of them still around and we have the money to make the deal.
