He has signed for a Mexican side (Jaguares). Bick cock-up apparently and there are 3 clubs (including the club he has signed from) who don’t actually know what’s going on.
A good player doesn’t need time to settle in, he should be straight in the team tomorrow to replace Melchiot but my head tells me it will be either Boyce or Bramble, not sure who cos defensively Bramble is much better in my opinion but Boycey has popped up with 3 goals (i think) this season so, the jury is out on that.
I also can’t see him being chucked straight into the team and made captain, I just don’t see Bobby doing that for a few reasons.
I can see 2 defenders being on the bench, Gohouri and whoever is replaced by Caldwell.
My team for tomorrow:
Kirkland, Melchiot, Caldwell, Bramble, Figueroa, Diame (hopefully), Thomas, Scharner, Sinclair, N’Zogbia and Rodallega.
Subs: Stojkovic, Gohouri, Boyce, Gomez, Watson, Scotland and McCarthy.
Both are rumours taken from a website so just for Griff’s information i’ll not be claiming to have ‘known’ they were coming if any do sign. ;)
Whereas your other 87 came from your own personal network within the game of course

Haha, yes of course.
I think of names in my head, post them on here and hope for the best.
Scored 2 goals away at Spurs in our 1st season to earn a 2-2 draw. We were leading twice in the game and Mido scored for Spurs.
I was in the Spurs end opposite away fans and it was the the week before the Carling Cup Final vs Utd.
Exactly, he has to start somewhere.
We are in a very strong position now defensively with 5 centre backs (Bramble, Boyce, Amaya, Gohouri and Caldwell) + Scharner who would make 6 although he plays in midfield.
My point is, our defence has always been short on numbers, even when Jewell and Bruce were in charge we were always short at the back. Now, Bobby has done what he said he would and started building on the squad making competition for places.
I think, if we sign another 4, 5 or 6 players in January and say 2 or 3 go out the door Bobby will have stuck to his word saying that no matter what happens this month our squad will be stronger by the end of it.
Yes of course! :D
If you read my 1st post you will see I stated all those names had just been thrown into the bag and I also said I wonder how many will actually sign so my last post was just a joke to say I have got 1 right from the list of names. Some people just take things too seriously.
Arsenal and Stoke were after signing him last January but he had not long been at Monchleeebbb…… (can’t spell the name) so didn’t move. He hasn’t signed a new contract although he was offered and has agreed to join us. He more than likely knew about the interest in him before he ran out of contract hence the reason he didn’t agree but he was a started up until leaving and Barnsley were interested in him on a free but then again if we were interested in Drogba does that make him a bad player? The fact he may have snubbed Barnsley tells you they may just have been punching above their weight. 3 goals in 2 appearences for Ivory Coast.
If he isn’t good enough for Celtic he isn’t good enough for us. But he didn’t get player of season for nothing. He is good enough for celtic, he was their captain and part of the 1st team squad BUT he is out of contract in the summer so they either lose him for nowt or cash in now which they have.
Is it not just sour grapes?
Sounds like they are giving him a bit of stick because he wants to move to Wigan. It’s the same old he’s rubbish, glad he’s gone, blah blah blah.
He’s not even put a Wigan shirt on yet and people will be looking to judge him.
Steven Gohouri just signedWell that’s one tick off my list which may be closely followed with Caldwell’s arrival.
Maybe Roberto has other targets who are much more important to our club, going off what i’ve heard we have already signed 4 players so that may be where the money’s gone/going.
£10m to our club is good money and would equal around £6m profit on Hugo in 12 months.
Also, you know what happens when a club waves money in front of Dave’s nose, he bites!
I don’t believe it’s true personally BUT like I said if it was then I would take Fuller and the cash providing we invest it in some good players.
Why do you rate Fuller as a very average striker? He has proved he has what it takes at this level and if you watch him he does some fantastic things on the ball and scores some really good goals. Hugo is a top player, i’m one of his biggest fans but everyone has a price and with £10m + a very decent striker in Fuller offered the price is right!
The Stoke lot seem to think it’s true but some of them also seem to think we paid between 8 and 9 mill for him ourselves????
Where are they getting that info from?
We paid £4m depending on goals and appearances.
£10m is a fantastic deal on our part BUT we MUST invest it in 2 other strikers if the rumour that Fuller is coming here as part of the deal is false.
He WILL go for sure, whether it’s to Sunderland or another prem club he will not be a Wigan player come the end of January.
According to spanish press we have almost completed a deal for a left back from Sporting Gijon, this tells me he’s a replacement for either Figueroa or Edman and in my opinion it will be Figueroa.
