The figure was (as of last Monday evening after 2 days of general sale) around the 19k mark.
This has been mentioned a few times now.
It will be around the 20,000 mark, but not more. And that means should we get to the Final only around 2,500 ticket will be available to those who didn’t go to the semi Final…..
Big risk for those who are chancing it…..
I also heard we’d sold 19k as of last Monday so, 20k will be there or there abouts.
I would agree with the club if they gave preference to those going to the semi as a reduced allocation means there’ll be a big rush for tickets. If we get to the final everyone who went to the semi should get first refusal and whatever is left should be sold to season ticket holders initially at 2 per season ticket.
I was told Saturday afternoon before the Norwich we’d sold 18k. That was before tickets had been released for general sale. The guy who told me mentioned it was from a good source.
is brian sabin still with us ?
yea i too remember he was always sat front seat of coach (drivers nightmare)
also rarely paid for admission ,always got tickets off players i believe ;)http://www.wigan.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=282029
That link is taken from Vital. He won an award at the end of last season for fan of the year.
Heard all 13k of the £50 tickets have been sold.
All rumours obviously. There’s quite a few circulating on twitter at the moment.
Just got my tickets. Bottom tier behind the goal. £50 each.
how you got them already???? ticketmaster/viagogo?????[/quote]
Contact within the club. It’s all about who you know ;)
He’s not been charged. Just released it on SSN.
Just got my tickets. Bottom tier behind the goal. £50 each.
That’s the category breakdown taken from google. There’s quite a few pictures all showing the same so I would imagine it’s correct.
On the official site there’s nothing to show you what category is for what seat.
Why have the upper tier tickets not been advertised on the website?. A few people I know weren’t even aware they were on sale, they were told there were only restricted view lower tier tickets left on Monday but the upper tier went on sale Tuesday morning. No mention on the web site at all. This has been mentioned on here. Word of mouth has spread regarding tickets for the upper tier being on sale although nothing has been released on the official site.
If you want to know why (I’m sure there’s a reason) visit the contact us page on the official website and ask.
I cannot understand why people wouldn’t go on Saturday, 40 minutes down the road, quarter final of the FA Cup, 90 minutes away from Wembley, around £30 (give or take a bit) for a ticket, local derby, etc etc etc. I am not questioning your loyalty or referring to you as any lesser fan for not going just simply cannot understand your argument regarding the team selection.
Don’t you think it could be mind games he’s using in the media to keep David Moyes and his staff guessing?
Also, we played our 1st 11 in both league games and failed to win either so maybe he’s thinking a mix up in the team might get the win?
I don’t think for 1 minute he’ll deliberately pick a team to lose the game or a team he doesn’t feel can match Everton.
Don’t you think Mr Whelan may have a thing or two to say about a trip to Wembley?
I think the only person who knows the answers is the boss himself.
What you are saying is if you knew for definite he was picking the team that hasn’t beat Everton in 2 games this season and has us lying near the bottom of the league you would go?
“as much as I love Wigan Athletic if a manager treats any competition as less of a priority as another then I will treat it as less of a priority when it comes to deciding what i spend my money on & I won’t go”
I’m just glad myself and around 2,500 others don’t have that same attitude.
There is a good argument for both sides here but I do believe as the rounds have gone on our team has got stronger. I also believe Mr Whelan may something to say about a possible trip to Wembley.
I would take a guess at the team being something similar to:
Joel
Boyce
Alcaraz
Golobart
Scharner
FigueroaEspinoza
McArthurMaloney
McManamanKone
I do see his point in a way and I believe it’s fair to give the lads who’ve got us this far chance to go all the way.
I think starting with the likes of McManaman, Robles, Golobart and Espinoza is okay as long as he mixes it with the experience of Boyce, Scharner, Figueroa, Kone, etc.
Whichever team he picks will have what it takes to beat Everton if they perform.
Upper tier allocated so I believe, on general sale tomorrowThere has been nothing put on the official website regarding this yet. They should be putting updates on the site making people aware of the new batch of tickets.
