Had this been the first game of last season or the season before, if we’d let two goals in in the first six minutes, we’d have shipped five or six by the end of the game.

Di Santo has to be one of the most infuriating players we’ve had for a long time. If his talent matched his confidence he’d be a world beater.

Decent side Forest and a less than usual impending embarrassing exit from this competition :)

Someone somewhere is missing something here, I think. Could go one of a few ways this one

It’s probably me. I haven’t a clue what I might be missing though. I get the Beresford Street flooding bit, if that was it
Your first two posts on this thread more than hinted at whooshness, I think. Whether your latest has redeemed you, only time will tell ;)

                  One phrase: 4-4-2

When you have a creative midfield playing against you, and especially when you are carrying a passenger (Rooney), it simply doesn’t work.

Welbeck and Young had tickets to ride for the second game on the spin. Shockingly bad. Milner actually tries but isn’t very good.

That’s a well thought out and considered piece as to why you think Coldplay aren’t very good but misses the point of my original post.

Coldplay aren’t my favourite band but IMHO they surpass U2 and Oasis. I have a number of U2 albums, bought on the cheap mainly to see what all the fuss is about, and I just don’t get them in the same way that I don’t get The Rolling Stones. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re ‘shit’ though. They have legions of fans that adore them. I have all Oasis’ albums with no idea why. I get them a little more than I get U2 because they actually have one or two tunes in their repertoire and the Gallagher brothers have some car-crash type charm that gets your attention. As far as the craft of songwriting’s concerned, they’re not very good. They’re far better musically than lyrically. They’ve nothing much to say but say it with a passion. A bit like Coldplay. I have all Coldplay’s albums too and yes, there’s some dross in there but when they do get it right, they really get it right.

The shows they put on in Manchester at the weekend were incredible. They pushed boundaries in innovation as far as stadium concerts are concerned and it would be a very hard hearted person to put their musical foibles against the energetic, thundering show they put on. They’re not your thinking man’s band (nor are U2 and Oasis most definitely aren’t) but when your just turned sixteen year old lad says it was the best night of his life, it goes some way, in my mind, towards some sort of vindication of their status in the world of music.

Anyone have the pleasure of being there last night? I’m not a massive fan but I appreciate their capacity to write top notch, hard not to like stadium rock anthems like Paradise, In My Place etc.

The show they put on last night (and the night before, by all accounts) was absoulutely fantastic. The lasers, fireworks, big screen images and animations, lightshow, inflatables, confetti cannons and 50,000 wristbands flashing in unison, triggered by the music, were a truly amazing sight. The music wasn’t too bad either.

I chose to stick pins in my eyes rather than suffer coldplay, amazing lightshow or not.
Oh ok. Well thanks for that.

It is a radical decision to change the club’s colours and a little ignorant, to say the least, but certainly not unprecedented. I’ve no doubt that this has happened in just about every decade to one club or another in the last century for reasons relative to the way the world is at that time. Currently, and possibly unfortunately, the game’s appeal is more globally widespread than ever and Cardiff’s situation is more of an inevitability than anything. The amount of money being offered by these Asians factored into Cardiff’s plight, they are within their rights to ask them to play in stockings and sussies (red, of course) if they want to.

The ‘Anti-Sky Football Was Invented Before 1992’ traditionalist brigade will have a field day with this, thinking the end is nigh and all the rest of it. I agree and sympathise to a point but you can’t have it all ways. I must admit I wouldn’t like it happening to my club and I’m glad it’s happening to someone else but the end isn’t quite nigh. There will still be a Cardiff City long after the current incumbent’s provisos and colour fetishes are banished to distant memory.

How the fuck has Paul McCartney ever sold a record, he is fucking garbage.

Now I’m all for freedom of speech and respecting people’s opinions but every now and then someone says something so ludicrously stupid……..How has Paul McCartney ever sold a record? Are you for real? He was in a band called The Beetles, you know.
Learn to fuckin spell it then !! Its Beatles not Beetles !! WHOOSH !!
Dear, oh dear. Now pay attention…I put ‘The Beetles’ in some sort of naff, obviously ill-conceived, though deserved, nod towards the crassness of the original post but it seems to have fallen on stony ground.

Oh and push the last letter of your sentences up to your exclaimation marks! ;)
