The playing of wonderwall at the end kicked it off!
Wasn’t last year. Two Saturday, one Sunday, one Monday. Is there not a chance we will be in the Monday night slot?
Two games each round so was at Huddersfield and Chelsea luckily.
When you buy tickets online looks like less than 200 seats left for sale in East stand (none together) and 250 left in West stand. Main tickets left in south stand which looks like its got a good few left but looking at that must be well over 20k. Look for yourselves.
Aye. Lost away at Southend who have four wins and a draw in last five since Powell took over. Realistically only three teams could catch us now and looking at run in we should have enough.
Owd on a bit here! Cardiff have jumped into the chase!

Premier league clubs waiting in the wings:
Could be a right bloodbath in the summer with clubs slugging it out desperate to secure his signature. Must have had some loan spell at Rochdale despite them being second to bottom in League one.
Hey get off that seat! Used to be first on the Latics liner but he did love a freemans! Loved the club and glad we gave him such happy memories in the last decade after he stuck by the club through thick and thin!
How shit must we be. Fortune has scored!
Will be a good performance if we can keep it below 4. This City team are on another level to what we have ever seen at our ground. Still. With a billion pound squad they should be half decent
Given players produced through our own academy I do wonder whether it’s even worth having one. Notice Huddersfield have closed there’s as have Brentford as big clubs just pinch better players anyway.
You are only contracted to a club at the ripe old age of ‘under 9’ when competitive academy football begins. At this point up to the age of high school you can leave one club to play for another but there will be a reimbursement of 3K for every year the boy has been at the selling club in compensation. This rises to as much as 40K per year from the age of 11.
Grassroots football has changed dramatically over the years. Very rarely do you see lads playing football in parks or on the streets and with ‘no ball’ signs everywhere and the media suggesting there are paedos on every street corner this is unlikely to change anytime soon.
With most local teams run by parents and volunteers I’m guessing it’s hard to be too critical. Local grass pitches are generally woeful, 4G pitches cost up to 50 quid an hour so unfortunately the clubs need to charge accordingly. A sad state of affairs but sadly the money never seems to come down the pyramid to support the roots in ensuring sport is available to all.
Beats Big Billy Kenyon!
Absolute legend Powell. Said he loves it at Wigan and wants to stay. For all the doubters out there about his attitude not many can doubt his loyalty. One of the few lads over the years to turn down a move for the money to enjoy his football.
Agreed. Middle class people with top end sleepings bags and wine in a box. Seems quite safe, no risk of being turned over or raped. I would let em enjoy the full experience. If it was an afternoons begging, score some quality brown, inject it with a long green needle in the groin, get a few black cans down with some pregabs then having yer tea out of a bin I could respect it more I must say.
