I’m in a similar boat, a season ticket holder since the early 80’s but I’ve nearly had my fill. I’ve always gone along to the games looking forward to it but I no longer feel that way, this year out of all of them has hit us hard thinking were on the up, and that owners have it at hand especially the friendly nature Talal showed to us I thought we e hit the jackpot.
I still cannot believe the owners think by slashing the running costs to bare minimum is the answer. The other thing, would they have mentioned some kids been used next season we have stopped up ?, No, but we’re lead to believe it would have happened.
Their young lads are coming in like they did when we went into administration out of pure and utter desperation save money and nothing else, its history repeating itself.
Yes I did scream from the rooftops for young lads to be used but I would have preferred :-
Investment into youth programs then in time build a good youth set up so we can nurture and integrate them into the side not zip lob, then have half a dozen unprepared young lads thrown in like lambs to the slaughter as Maloney has mentioned 6-7 will come in.Then after Maloney’s report after Blackpool saying I will be ruthless he picks a team that none could beat me over 50m.
Bloody rubbish Maloney!
No debt going into next season. Few gems in the club. Solid Manager. I can only be happy when we get back to where we belong as until then it will remain unfinished business. Fuck the EFL.
Good for you!
I remember meeting you in Maribor in the good old days. Looks beautiful over there Richard and here’s wishing you all the best my friend. We will all keep in touch and hope you can still pop on now and again and put a smile on our faces.
Surely we are no different to any club at the minute in that we are being propped up by Premier league grants and government hand outs. Can’t think many clubs have reserves that have lasted 12 months almost with no fans and our outgoings must be less than almost all League One and Two clubs with only 3 senior players left at the club. Just reading we have been given around 6 million over the last season from the Premier League over the last season.
3.5 million for a club with hardly any assets, no income, a stadium that loses money and can’t be used for any other business. Can’t see why anyone would touch it with a bargepole.
About time the supporters club asked some dirrect questions instead of being complicit with this lot. It’s so bloody obvious they don’t want to sell and just want to bleed money out of the club. Gone from 6 million debtors with us being owed 4.8 incoming transfer fees from last season to us selling 1e million in players (though for some reason the figures never get released) and we still owe money despite our wage bill being bugger all as we have no players left. Throw in another 1.6 million on Euxton and I think we all know where the moneys going. These fuckers don’t wanna go. Not while they can feed on scraps. The stadium is worth fuck all. It loses money every year and unless council buy in its a white elephant that Whelans saddled the club with. Still. Let’s rely on our weekly catch up with Krasner who will tell us all a load of lies that make no sense from the previous week.
Don’t know how the sale of players affect it? Because it doesn’t come separately. If you bought a house and they ripped out the bathroom and kitchen you might want that reflecting in the price. Why would anyone pay 3 million for an asset that loses so much?
Having watched the Fylde game last week I don’t see us finishing in relegation as only Nathan Byrne won’t be playing and we have Danny Fox at centre half possibly. If we can get Jacobs, Pilks and keep the spirit of last season we may surprise ourselves. A lot of football is spirit and grit. The club has always had it. Keep the faith.
Sure now every saleable asset has gone we will be sold. Strange that eh?
So what did we get for entire side that finished third after Xmas in Championship now Morsys gone?
Be crowds back soon. If not whole pyramid will fall. No way can these clubs pay wages on no crowds.
And Callum Macmanaman.
And the soft bastard journalists notvorepared to ask the awkward questions. Spineless fuckers.
These Chinese lads are the biggest givers in our history. 36 million to the club plays a good few million on players. Must have been some bet as I’m lost.
Team of Jones. Kipre. Pearce. Byrne. Massey. Evans. Morsy. Garner. Naismith. WindassLowe etc will surely have enough for League One.
