A few posters about at the moment for the offer on the next 4 games which is good, hope they follow that up with the radio, papers, leaflet drops and free tickets to schools etc, maybe a tv advert (I know they cost) people in the granada area who haven’t thought of coming might just be amazed at the value.

Griff, to people who smoke it is an issue ! That’s not my only idea, I was just agreeing with someone. At the moment money is very tight for lots of people in Wigan and surrounding areas, ticket prices are a major factor on gates, I felt £28 was quite steep for a midweek game, even if it was Liverpool, £20 would have been better.
A decent bar for fans to go to before and after the game would be good, maybe the old Kudos bar.
I don’t know how much the club does with marketing surrounding areas such as Skem and St.Helens but I would have thought incentives for people to come in from out of town would be worth a try.The smokers corner idea would certainly help, each corner of the ground is open with nothing there, can’t see why smokers can’t have a cig there, at least when you watch the game at the pub you can nip outside, many smokers now choose this option.
We actually won 2-1 against Blackburn if the ref and linesman had any idea about the rules, Charlie’s goal should have stood and Roberts was a yard off side ! We had 65% posession and played some nice stuff, well done Wigan, major improvement on last week (as it needed to be) and if we carry on like that we’ll be fine.
