It’s not a lack of skill, but his performance today oozed not giving a toss.

I can’t see him staying – but we must keep N’zogbia, and personally I’d give McCarthy and Amaya at least a couple of sub appearances to get Premier League experience.

Iliked the look of Mcarthy, but jury out on Amaya doesnt seem to head well under pressure. As for KOUMAS what a complete waste of talent he is a natural with a football, but somehow he cant be bothered.First to go,if no one wants him put him on steward duty he has to do something to warrant a pay packet.

And ours is Absoloute rubbish.Drop this man pick another Captain and mark my words we will all see a fantastic difference.Come on. But WHY will Martinez not drop him.He is never where he should be on the field,no insperation to the team.Who the gave this man the job in the first place.

            perhaps its a lingual thing.

              What’s that supposed to mean?
We all know that he has done wonders for us, and we have got to where we are because of him, but we are now hanging on despite of him.
Surely you can see that the lack of investment and the selling of all our major assets is crippling us, and we are going to go back to where we started from unless he decides to invest.
We lost one game !!!1 WTF are you on son !! We have lost 10 out of 19 and have a goal diff of -23 !! Fulham who we managed to draw with and looked average didnt roll over in fact they battled their socks off and hammered Utd 3-0 so if they can do that why cant we at least show some guts and put up even half a battle instead of rollin over for the umpteenth time this season !

i think that is down to the players,i dont think the manager or back room staff,or even D Whelan send out a side not to try.

He is nowhere near as bad as Aghahowa was.

He’s creating chances – he’s getting shots in – they’re just not going in.

When he gets one he’ll be fine.
… and if we don’t play him then who do you suggest we put up front?

he cant head a ball,he cant run, his positional sense for a striker is non-exsistant.

you ask “and if we don’t play him then who do you suggest we put up front?”

cant really argue with that ,but can you explain to me how the spanish one can justify putting him in midfield yesterday when rodders went up front ?

or are you suggesting he is better than what we have in that position as well.
was it that point when Bob had made the change ,that we scored and looked like we could take the lead, seemed to work to me.

Here’s a simple solution: if you find the football on display not to your taste, or if the players are not trying hard enough, don’t go to games, and go back to supporting Wigan RL, Liverpool, Man U, Brazil or whoever it was prior to 2004.

Or, we can carry on in the same moronic way, and end up like Newcastle with the better players wanting to leave en mass and nobody of any quality wanting to sign.

We can only muster up an average gate of under twenty thousand, and those we do get through the gates boo their own team. I can see the stars of world football queuing to sign for Wigan.

so is the football on display up to “your taste” ?
its a better than a hoof up front and see what happens.

I think we could possibly lose Figueroa, Scharner and N’Zogbia because of the interest in them and the fact we’re a selling club and nothing convinces me anything regarding ambition has changed.

I think Gomez and Scotland are getting far too much stick, Rodallega was awful in the 1st half, gave the ball away on numerous occasions but nothing mentioned, as soon as Scotland does something wrong everybody lets him know about it, very unfair and we as fans should be behind our players, not picking up on all mistakes.

As for the dead-wood, I think we need to sell the likes of Bouaouzan, Kingson, Kapo, De Ridder, Cho and Edman + any others I may have missed. A possible loan move for the younger players (McCarthy, Cywka, etc). I agree that we should only sell players that WILL be replaced, we don’t have a big enough or strong enough squad to be selling fringe players.

I think Tamudo is a sealed deal from Espanyol, I also think there may be renewed interest in some of the players we were looking at in the summer (Crusat, Elyseu + others) and I am behind Bobby and trust him 100% to bring in the players he needs providing he is supported by Mr Whelan.

They say it takes a new manager 3 transfer windows to build his team, he has had 1, January will be his 2nd and the summer will be his 3rd and hopefully this time next year we’ll all be talking about how well we’re doing and how far our fans favorite manager, a true Wigan legend has brought us in a short spell.

Roll on January! I bet Roberto can’t wait, he will know exactly what he wants and more importantly what he needs and fingers crossed he’ll keep our big players and build a team that will consistently perform.

it seems that on the grapevine Bobby has done deals on 4 players and a keeper but cant do any thing else till January so let him get on with it and lets get behind the lads we field at the moment.

Finally some posters on here have proved they know nothing about football, dead grandads or not.

Gomez was winning set pieces all over the field, he wasnt bottling challanges and got kicked all over the park. He was creative and help flow the ball through midfield, as as opposed to the long ball sh*te those on here would prefer.

agreed Gomez had a decent game,he has the skill just needs to work on his reaction speed and he will get better, hard to adapt to the speed of the prem in more ways than fitness. ;)

There are people slipping and sliding all over the place.

Many places are just a sheet of ice, and it’s very dangerous.

I’m not sure it should be on, in all honesty. :o

Barcelona could make a shock £3.5m move for Crystal Palace forward Victor Moses in the new year. The 19-year-old has also attracted the interest of Sunderland, Wigan and Tottenham. (Daily Star)

Of those four then, where would you go?

sounds like only one club in it if they are quoting money. We have only showed an interest,or some paper has lined us up again to create other interest.
