Today was a real throwback to the good old days of being a Latics fan. When nobody gave us a chance and we then went and stunned the football world with a breathtaking performance. The whole team today were sensational and it really brought back home to me what being a Wigan fan has always been about. The bigger diversity we face the more this incredible club thrives.40 yrs ago Wigan Athletic lost to Scarborough 2-1 in extra time in the F A Trophy final at Wembley and as a youngster I was heartbroken. They have more than made it up to me since and out of the 40 odd years ive been a fan I can honestly say that not that many times have they let us the fans down.We may be struggling and we may go down but for what this wonderful club has given me in all those years means that I would have to be a complete and utter moron to start bellyaching and slagging them off.Today we went back to being the old Wigan Athletic and boy do I feel good tonight.Like galac has said so proud of the lads today.light or dark they will all be wiganers going to the big city watching little wigan.LITTLE WIGAN TAKING THE P555
Bonding in Tenerife didnt work it seems, looks well when the ref stops the game when we are defending a corner to calm two of our players down.
I would point to Scharners belly for the fight in his first game back ,and ask the others to do the same.
GOMEZ
Kone wasnt available but he didnt play another striker the man is insane.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez on his team’s top-flight status: “We never take anything for granted.
“If we had done that we would never have had eight seasons at this level. Today we weren’t good enough defensively for 30 minutes. We need to rectify that.
“Ivan Ramis’ injury last week cost us today’s points. That is something I need to correct.”Is this not a nice and professional way of saying if ramis wasn’t injured I wouldn’t have to play that useless pile of sh*t stam again!
Gomez must have done ok today because his biggest critic who sits behind me wasn’t on his back all game.Amazing how he always gets blamed. Di santo should get the flak for me not jordi
instead we had Gomez pulling out off tackles and giving the ball away.
Thought Gomez was one of our better performers today, especially first half, which wasn’t too difficult a task I’ll admit. As for giving the ball away the whole team can be crticised for that so why pick on him. At least he did try to create something going forward.
Because they do, Sammy. Easy to pick on someone when everyone else who knows nothing as well is doing it.

Jordi improved 2nd half when we moved the ball quicker he became an outlet, ready in space perhaps we are too slow to make him space.
:woohoo:
it was an insult to AFC and the tremendous following that came to the DW,players strolling about like Billy Big Bollocks and getting loads of money.Well they shouldnt get paid for that dross today.
Why then play one of our older players who could have done with a rest.
can you actually see him getting a game with Bob,think Sinclair Cleverley, and now Ryo.
or SIR HARRY LYON
It wont this year unless we buy a proven scorer of goals.
