When it comes to buying players and, especially forwards for clubs like Wigan it’s all about taking the gamble when buying.
Will he be any good at Championship level ?, if we knew that we wouldn’t be able to afford him it’s as simple as that. Get the cash down, take a punt and pray he hits 15-20 goals on before the seasons out. Without the goals were dead and buried 0-0″s won’t save us.

15-20 goals in less than half a season!! That’s some ask is that![/quote]

OK 15-20 is over doing it abit agree but we do need someone who can come in and make an instant impact, make a goal, get stuck in to defenders as opposed to waiting for the perfect delivery to arrive. We don’t have time to build another side we can do this in the summer. It’s a gamble granted but personally I think were that one player off clawing our way out the mire. I’ve seen far far worse sides well above us this season.

Watching and reading about Bogle he has alot of potential, can he do it at Championship level?, if everyone knew this he’d be in the 3-5 million bracket and going elsewere

Do you hoonestly think they’ll take our fixtures into consideration ?. I think it will be Sunday morning say 12:30 ko so Utd have the 2 day brake between games then we’Ll play Sunday – Tuesday – Friday just to fit in with Utd”s busy bulls””t schedule

It will def be a Sunday so Utd have 2 days between games. Wouldn’t it be nice, a 90th minute from Ravel Morrison, it might be the one thing swings it for us.
Utd can them spend another 90 million for an ex-player they dumped

Sell Morsy who has made it known he would prefer to move on, get rid of a few of the others the likes of Colclough and get him bought. We will have Gibley back soon enough and rumours about a young lad from Derby for the middle of the park.

Were doing everything right bar that last 1/4 of the field and by all accounts he’s a big lad with pace, our new Emile Heskey :) which might be just what Grigg needs (that’s if he plays the two together)

By all accounts this Bogle is 1 club away from a much bigger move so lets be that stepping stone club be us so he can get us out this sh*t and make a few bob when he does move on.

Get the money Sharpe and take that one last gamble or are we gonna clear out again, sell the assets Grigg and Yanick and rebuild for the upteenth time in preperation for life in Div1 ?, I hope not. The standard of football in Div1 isn’t the best to watch.

Did all the missing Latics fans have other commitments ? all 3000-4000 of them, it was a Saturday at home a normal footballing day.
The club want to think about at least giving season ticket holders 1 cup game free like the old days with the tear out voucher in the paper book season tickets

I love the FA Cup it’s exactly what we need to take us away from our league predicament,

And you never know, one day we might even win it,,,,

                  !Again!

                  (Still sounds surreal)

All’s I can say you can’t knock the lads for effort, if we’d gamble abit more in the last third and turned a few of those 0-0’s into 3 points we’d be hovering around the play-offs.

We need to concentrate getting the ball into Grigg Just like Deli Ali did at MK Dons. We spend so much time pishin around with the ball in the last 3rd it’s frightening

ravel morrison on loan rest of season thoughts on this one if it comes off

He’ll need a fookin Morrison’s trolley to carry the baggage that comes with him, he’s like a hot spud at a bommy and I dont mean the testicle kind

Not adding up is a Latics trademark at the moment.
I personally think we’re in the brown stuff deeper than a lot of people actually know about.
Bruce once said when he left us for Sunderland “Its like shopping at Harrods rather than Tescos”. Right now I’d say its more like the food bank or the skip round the back looking for anything that’s free with a little bit of shelf life left.

It wouldn’t shock me if he’s loaned straight back out. It’s all to do with the clubs finances which don’t look too good at the moment.

We’ll loan him out again then bring in another loanee on 30 bob a week saving us a few thousand a week (same goes for Morsey).
If we go down we’ll have another huge clean out. With no more parachute payments and a loss of Championship revenue we won’t be able to keep him and he’ll probably want out anyway.
It looks well when were pinning our hopes on a player who looked average first time round

I am sure he will have already have put some plans in place to ensure his empire and his football club and Wigan as a town will continue to thrive once he is no longer here to drive it all forward.

The problem we all have is not knowing what is going on and how it all might pan out.

Oh he’ll have plans set out that’s for sure, as you pointed out, he’s not got were he is by throwing money at money and were no different.
Once he see”s that financially we can’t stand on our own 2 feet he’ll pull the plug and flog us on.
Remember JJB”s ? enough said. For me an academy should have been kick started once we were in our 2nd or 3rd year in the Prem. This way we’d be reaping the benefits now. The golf course was all a front, that was bought with one thing in mind, houses.

This makes interesting reading, I personally think the turnover of players for a club like Wigan is bordering on the verge of insanity.
Bare in mind Caldwell was here from the 7th April 2015 – 23rd October 2016

Serious question, how many players and how much did Caldwell spend while I charge ?, I’d be interested to know if this was one of the main factors why we showed him the door.
We had a habit of buying players then loaning them out then, bring loan players in ?. I think there’s more than meets the eye as to why Caldwell got the chop

Take your pick , 1 of them will go. Either Yanic or Grigg and if you want to have a wager on that I’m game on.
And as for the “inconsistant” remark from LostockHallLatic aka Helen Keller, without him we’d be bottom of the pile, he’s the only one scoring.
