Well you’ve got an Howser as a brother in law.
Played ace football in the cup. Duplicated in the league and we would have stayed up but on no stubborn Bob just played the same old yawn inducing drivel in the league.
We won the cup despite of Bob.
Remember being so close to going out in the third round because of his tactics and team selection.
The most boreing four years of football I can ever remember watching Latics.
Oh and I remember the man took us down then walked.
Cheers Bob the decline started with you.He has certainly taken Everton to new lows. When is the Moyesey home coming party at Goodison?
An investment in a decent striker last season may well have put us back in the Premier League and any money invested would have been re-couped ten fold.
This season we spent money on players who where never utilised, deemed not good enough by Rosler and MacKay. If we look at our transfer deficit over this season that so called investment is very little for a club that wanted promotion. The towel was thrown in over Christmas and further money saved on wages and we have ended up with journeymen and loanees.
A very close parallel to Blackpool Football Club. Play within financial boundaries and get relegated or push the debt to extremes like Cardiff, Bolton and Blackburn and be quite safe. These three are ridden with debt but will they go pop? Doubt it. In a way its a kind of cheating. Then at the end of the season the pitch needs resting to take advantage of the growing season, which of course it wont and it will end up a midden again. Answer to our pitch is go for a modern artificial pitch if it is allowed.
I for one are one of the first to post on here after a win and I do even congratulate Malky for that too. But my post asked if anyone knew if we had never won a home game all Autumn and Winter before or if anyone else had.
It would be the best possible scenario for the Premier League.
Yip Burnley will stay up and the Makems will drop whilst Bournemouth, Brentford and Watford will pass by as mighty Blunderland prepare for a visit to the west coast at Highbury Fleetwood.
Not many away fans next season Makem to hide all those red seats at the Stadium of Shite.I always thought we would come good and get out of the bottom three. After that last night i have changed my mind. I would go as far to say that was the worst wigan athletic performance i have seen for a long while. Unable to keep the ball, stray passes all night, being caught in posession, no goal threat, ball up in the air all the time, its just a mess. We’re a team full of loan players who couldnt give a shit if we go down or not, they will be off at the end of the season, young kids having a kick about just to gain a bit of experience and journey men who nobody else wants. After last night i think we will go down, i hope iam wrong but i cant see a way out. we need to start a fresh, new manager for a start, someone with new ideas who will play old fashioned attacking football with a settled team and forwards who can score goals. We need a new team, players who want to be here, who want to wear the blue and white who actually give a shit. Its going to take time, its going to be a hard, its going to be a long haul but its got to happen so we don’t have to put up with that shite we saw last night.Spot on there but we have not had a manager like that since Steve Bruce. Now who could and would have the guts to play this kind of football and re-build our side on a budget?
He certainly does need someone alongside him. Our managers so far this season have rejected Holt, Waghorn, Riera, Delort and McKay. Our left winger has been chosen ahead of all these of late leaving a little right sided lad to play out of position on the left. Now it looks like another youngster may be given a go ahead of them. So what are we becoming an exercise class for young Liverpool lads with stupid hair.
Craziest season I can ever remember. And no more loan players please.
According to our manager we played well and put 25 crosses into the box. What use are 25 crosses to two strikers with lead in their boots?
If Malky thought that was a good performance God help us when we play shite!
Last night was on par with the rest of the pitiful performances this season.I agree that Malky is far from the anti-Christ and the situation he is in as been dire with the massive changes put on him by the board but some of the day to day stuff does rest on his shoulders. It was right to bring Clarke back even though he was crap and also probably right to stick with Barn Door Fortune due too his work rate and for consistency but Fortunes goal scoring record is just not good enough.
What isn’t needed is the amount of loan players.
If we want to play youngsters please ffs play our own. They seem to have disappeared off the bench now.
A change for Saturday. McClean back for Ojo. Kvist in for Perch and Perch back at right back for Boycey. Maybe it is time to drop Fortune for Mckay or Waghorn.Bloody mobiles!
That was meant to say Kool and the Gang lookalike comp.Spot on there but let us see what a miss mash of shite is mustered up for Saturday.Clarke shit, Fortune worse, Ojo shit, Perch out of position. Embarrasingly outplayed, out worked and classed.
