St Helens and Wigan merged just wouldnt work.
A good idea on paper but from a Saints business and moral perspective this would be a defo no go area.
Would Saints want to merge with a club with no assets to bring with them? No ground to sell! They did this allready to pay off their debts that financed their success in the seventies and eighties. Other success has been brought by totally ignoring salary rules in Super League to give them advantage. Even this season they manipulated team selection and rested players prior to the play offs. How the hell could a team in freefall suddenly turn things round and win a competition they were dead and buried in otherwise? No Horc Saints wouldnt want our lodgers and their very dodgey past.Coyle should concentrate on Latics and nost the parasite cuckoos.
He should also prepare himself for when we welcome Rangers and their fans for hospitality on their soon to come European tour.
Thats if he is still here in a couple of years time.

Nobody plays with two strikers so we dont need to either. We need more midfielders surely. Only had seven on last night.Well he did single handedly win us the FA Cup.
Not to mention give us three relegation battles and on the fourth attempt a relegation .Not to mention the most boreing football I can remember.

No bitterness to either Bob or the Cuckoos. Bob should have stayed and had a go at promotion. Sneaky feeling he was gone anyway long before the season was over. A deal done months before the press released the Fergie Moyes Bob merry go round. As for the trespassers I have no bitterness just the same feeling a Burnley fan has to Blackburn or a Blackpool fan has to Knob End thats all. Detest them but no bitterness at all.
We know exactly who would have been most against it. Strange because the Freight Rover Trophy is of an high calibre trophy to win. Latics achievment against Brentfordsnd the effort shown to reach the final alone should have been shown that respect that we are now being asked to show to the Cuckoos in their achievment in winning such an un-competitive cup.
