I dont think Boyd or McDonald will be a success in England, the premiership is far too difficult for Boyd, although he scores a lot of goals again the lower league teams in the SPL, he stuggles in big games (which is what the premiership would be like) McDonald is a great finisher, but look at McFadden, came down here and scored a few great goals and then you dont see him for a long time.

They did mention in the game on Sunday that we were in for one of the Celtic centre backs, Caldwell I think, lets hope not !

McGeady wont leave Cetlic for Wigan, trust me. Am a big Celtic fan and he is a class player, but wouldnt step away from Celtic for us, prbably a top 6 team if he does leave. Scott McDonald would be a good signing though.

It appears that Notts County have been issued with a winding up order, so maybe it will be Forrest Green !

Lack of effort, speaking to Rovers fans they dont rate them because of the effort. Too much stnading around, not chasing balls down etc. Which pretty much what Roberts was like when he was leaving us as I remember.

Remember the fancy dress game !! Cracking day out.

I would have thought Whelan wouldnt have him back.

Vat you are an idiot, why would you prefer the championship, poorer quality of football, lack of media exposure and probably the same amount of beatings as we get in the premiership, only with smaller crowds and a 1/4 empty stadium.

Cling on fans and JCL, I think you may have this wrong, they are called new fans. How do you expect fan bases to grow? Do we buyin 20 year fans?

Dont get ripped off going to games, think about it and do some research. Do you think you will get much cheaper than £15 a game? With the lack of premiership TV money ticket prices will go up.

Well I respect your views for wanting relegation but all your points are wrong.

If only there was a club motto to follow….

    Progress with Unity !

We have been punshing above our weight for a long time, lets enjoy the dissapointment of the lower half of the premiership while it lasts. If we do go down this season then we will have deserved it. We have half a season to turn this around, or continue as we are and stay up just. Whelan needs to back the club with signings and better coaches, am sure he wont take huge risks, but he has the opportunity.

Without Whelan we would be the faithful 500 talking about the highlights of the 87 cup run, rather we have a 5 year run in the top flight.

This forum does make me laugh, people come on and are critical of the team, currently justified, they want us back in the championship, so isnt all going to plan for you then?

We are on the ars* end of another humbling, too many for most, Martinez needs to learn that the embarassment of this sort of a result is getting beyond a joke. How pleased at the final whistle when I was glad it was less than 9 !

All this being said, we have the January transfer window ahead where whelan and martinez can show us if they are serious about turing this season around.

The positive is that we are playng bad of late, but we are still ahead of relegation. People do forget how bad things could be.

Yes get your anger off you chest but support the club !

We do seem to raise our game for the so called big 4. So you never know.

in reply to: Scotland and gomez #16117

Finally some posters on here have proved they know nothing about football, dead grandads or not.

Gomez was winning set pieces all over the field, he wasnt bottling challanges and got kicked all over the park. He was creative and help flow the ball through midfield, as as opposed to the long ball sh*te those on here would prefer.

in reply to: Scotland and gomez #16116

I am not sure which game you went to but Gomez had a good game against Blackburn, got stuck in and was creative for most of the game. A couple of lapses in the 2nd half, but he is a far better player than at the start of the season.

in reply to: How can i get my texts back from mu iphone after restoring i #16115

You would need a sim chip from the local provider to do that. But more than likely the Iphone would be locked to your current provider.

Legistlation changes last year forced mobile companies to reduce charges for roming, it isnt that expensive now. Are you planning the latics European tour then ?

in reply to: Will Martinez ever accept Scotland is cack???? #16114

Just a crazy thought, but has any of the doubters thought why Scotland is struggling to score? Maybe rather than the player being as bad as you would want, it could be down to the formation and alack of support from midfield. Watching the game on boxing day he was being dragged wide on a number of locations without Scharner or Gomez covering in the centre. I think with 442 formation he would be fine.

He will be replaced in January anyway.
