Agree with you there Standish. Not much to argue with.
Can you use your contacts to tell the so called top guys within the club that decided a ballot was a good idea. Or an even better idea to tell them to bring back the away season ticket, as that gets rid of any excuse.

It looks like Man Utd are after getting him back there, so possibly could have been a great move under a Good Manager

If Morsy, Obertan, Gilby, Mandron and Bogle can play well in next few games, not just Saturday, I think they would be the key to us getting some much needed results.
I don’t know why, I don’t, but I have a funny feeling that if we win Saturday and cause a big upset at Toon, we could see a pretty decent run in.
    God this wine is good

So your saying the board have put a fella in charge of first team affairs AGAIN because he knows people and is liked? More likely is he has got the job because he is second in line as in assistant manager. I’m sure the fans would be thrilled to know he is in charge and not a tactical guru as you say.

I think that’s pretty much the long and short of it unfortunately!

All those moaning that we should play 442, press more, be more direct, and play with wingers are the same ones who have been having tantrums on Twitter about Barrow getting the job, when in reality, they’re more likely to see that under Barrow than any other manager we’ve had in recent years.

He’s been a manager at numerous clubs, and knows the squad inside out, but he’s admitted he’s old school – so I think it’ll be a case of him geeing them up and getting them to fight rather than any tactical masterclass.

I also very much doubt he’ll be given the job or will even want it if we do somehow manage to stay up.
Totally agree Standish, there is no-one more fickle than a fan.

Just because of who his dad is we should now look to Warnock to become more of a leader on the pitch he must pick his dads brains and like him or not Colin Wanker is one of the best in the business at this level. A word in the ear and Warnock the younger may just make a difference .

Has to be a wind up surely?

On the subject of Warnock, is it just me or has his form dipped over the last month or so. The negativity of the rest of the squad seems to be getting to him and he can’t turn it around.

Easy to say after the event, but he is right. We should be no worse than Cardiff but they have got themselves safe, we haven’t

I have to admit it is funny that the city of Miami have refused his stadium twice now for his soccer franchise. Seems like his status isn’t as big as he thought.

Not half as funny as you turning a planning permission refusal because they don’t think the location his suitable into a personal jibe at Beckham, you could easily say the same about David Whelan and his attempts to build a training complex at Wrightington.
I was thinking exactly that myself. Couldn’t for the life of me see why Beckham should be slagged off for a local council decision going against his club.
Because like you griff he is an attention seeking ass* ole. Crawl back into your hole and do one.

Didn’t realise Beckham was a saint and couldn’t be criticised. The point being is that he is a media driven individual, even though he would like to keep out of the limelight there is a hidden agenda, and recent publicity he has taken for his stadium has fallen flat.

We are seeing football at pace this world cup, attacking without fear seems to be working a treat. Tippy Tappy football is struggling and Spain look to be shocking these days. Still take their squad over ours.

I think we can add ITV as a whole and the majority of the BBC pundits are World Cup irritations.

Apparently there was a poll once as to which was the number 2 city in England.

The people of Manchester thought that Manchester was number 2 city.

The people of Birmingham thought that Birmingham was the number 2 city.

The people of Liverpool thought that London was.

I have had a number 2 in Manchester, Birmingham and Liverpool. Manchester was the nicest.

Holland 1974,possibly the greatest team I have ever seen. Jack Taylor was the ref in the final and imho helped the despicable Germans triumph over the Oranje.

Ari Hahn,s goal v Italy and Dino Zoff and Dennis Bergkamp v Argentina 2 wonder goals in different WC,s also memorable.

Some good stories of the 1974 world cup, but I believe the German dirty tricks the night before the final were disgusting. Keeping the Dutch team up with fans outside the hotel and calling them through the night.
