I don’t accept coppers ! I tell them that if it has come to coppering up then they can keep them as they probably need them more than I do ! Any shortfalls are however added to the next clean ! :)

Talking of coppering up, do you fancy saving your pennies for this: http://www.indietracks.co.uk/%5B/quote%5D

I have a few weekends away strategically booked and what with my week in Austin I don’t think that Shona would be too pleased with yet another disappearing act ! Remind Nicola to phone her re ‘Tropic’ ;)

Well in Coyle’s defense, unlike Martinez, ( Think Henriquez ) he took 2 young lads on loan and in my opinion helped them massively to develop by giving them much needed playing time. 2009-2010 season saw Jack Wilshere join Bolton on loan and the following season saw Daniel Sturridge join them on loan ! Also, Coyle is not a hoof ball merchant, if anything he likes his sides to actually play football. Ironically like Martinez, he didn’t really have the players to pull it off ! He has taken a side from the Championship to the Prem and so he has the knowhow and for me would be an ideal candidate ! Sometimes we make hasty decisions based on how our hearts feel but when you let your head take over and just sit back and think for a while, things do become more lucid ! Get him signed Uncle Dave !

everton have been sniffing round McCarthy since last transfer window, and this came from a very good source, who also told me something else thats happenend today about everton selling there training ground to raise funds

You’re not serious are you Ace? Selling the training ground? So what are they going to do, book a pitch at the local Soccerdome? ;)
The Everton selling their training ground story wasn’t exactly a scoop. It was confirmed yesterday in the Liverpool papers and websites. Sold to the council for £12, and Everton rent it back off them.
I take it back then Ace, sorry. Having said that, £12m, less the rent, ain’t no war chest, is it?
The council could be giving them a very generously discounted rent, maybe picking up the rates bill themselves, all kinds of ‘incentives’ are possible/probable. Just look at the way some continental teams are funded.
Even so, for a club of their supposed stature, it amounts to little more than coppering up when the window cleaner turns up.
I am pretty sure that contrary to Uncle Dave’s latest soundbite that there are not 50 applicants for the job ! Perhaps he is now trying to pimp the club out !

If ever a persons name described themselves, this isn’t the case.

Should have been called Lido ! :)

At the end of the match Neil Young was still searching for the heart of the goal.

Neil young scored a total of 108 goals from 415 appearances. After the goal-rush he had many jobs including being a removals man and a milk man ! :)

They even played it out from defence with seconds to go when losing ! The short corners with seconds to go also had me baffled sometimes ! I guess failing to score on 11 occasions ( Losing all 11 ) tells a story. 73 goals against tells a tale of woe at the other end ! I found that they were slow out of the blocks in quite a few of the games and it usually took a goal from the opposing side to get them to come to life, unfortunately this happened on 25 occasions and we went on to lose 18 of those ! When we scored first ( 13 times ) we only went on to lose 2 of those. Just exactly why they were slow out of the blocks on too many occasions is the million Dollar question ?

As we don’t currently have a manager I wonder who made the decicions?

                                ”Takes our best players”?

Err? Mcmanaman, Kone, Maloney, McCarthy etc…….FFs

Everton has no more of a war chest than we do. How many is he going to take?

Kenwright has already said Martinez has got money to spend. By this statement I doubt he means peanuts. I expect Moyes will also take Baines and/or Fellaini to Manure instilling more funds for transfers.

How do I know how many he’s going to take? How longs a piece of string?
He can’t kidnap them and take them against their will!! Most of the ones you are thinking might go to Everton would probably be leaving Wigan anyway. Who cares where they go if they are leaving?.

Does anyone on this forum understand how football works?
Do you have to try and get an inflated pigs bladder covered in animal hide into some netting draped over 2 upright pieces of timber and 1 crossbar which joins them together ? I think the rules allow 11 players on each side but often there are only half that amount of actual players on each side ! ;)
