I was also a keeper throughout my teenage years and if you are telling me you would of stood on your line when someone is charging towards your box then I think you need to go back to GK school Phil…
On his line, off his line or dangling from the cross bar like a monkey when a shot hits your side net with that sort of pace on it there is nothing you can do.

Hang on a minute…..if the striker was being driven out by a man on his left – so he can’t cut in on goal, and the keeper then positioned himself more to his right, wouldn’t that just open up the near post for the striker to aim at?![/quote]
He would still have the scope to defend his near post, I just thought he found himself slightly out of position in no mans land but that is just my opinion. It happens all the time and I did say that I wasn’t blaming him really ! Remy was a fair way out still when he took aim !

Not blaming him but I would have liked him to have been nearer to his goal line in the circumstances. Trust me, as a keeper you do NOT liked to be done like that !

We should have won today in the circumstances but we didn’t, we will however get a point at city and the rest will be in our own hands ! ;)
Just a guess here but maybe Eaststander sits in the east stand and in block E4 and was inviting you for a natter fil,could be wrong mind :lol:I’m there every home game ! Is a natter a euphemism ? Like I said I am there every home game ! ;)
