I will actually be rooting for England against Italy ! B)
As Standish said, very civil of you. The real question though is this, if things aren’t going well, will you stay to the end, or switch off the TV, log onto an internet forum and call for the English Clown to be sacked?
No monkey boy, I will be laughing my head off !! :P
I am with Micky here and as he says ” Then there is football ” Please don’t compare football support to World wars because this is not about that.( We would hate the USA if that were the case ! ) Like many have said before on here, when tragedy strikes football takes a back seat as things are put into perspective because football is just a game. Well this is about football and like it or not football is just an outlet for fun and enjoyment ( Not always the case for WAFC fans ! )and is not to be compared to war atrocities .You mention inappropriate banners being displayed by German fans, nothing to do with me man and I don’t condone it any more than you may well not condone the fact that England have a racist at the heart of their defence ! If you do want to compare war atrocities to football then don’t forget the poor Ethiopians on Sunday evening when the Italians take to the pitch !
PS With reference to my USA remark, don’t forget that Britain are their chief allies and if you really want to link football to war atrocities there is a whole can of worms that could be opened here !
Haw haw haw ! Oh hang on that is der Weihnachtsmann ! ;)
Yes I will be rooting for The Father Land !I will actually be rooting for England against Italy ! B)
As usual bog standard jokes !
Not sure Victor will be of much use in any negotiations – he can’t string three words together. Best to leave it to his agent, I reckon
Obviously, as Victor would say!
David Beckham holds the World record for using the word “obviously” out of context in a concise post match interview ! :)
New Years day home to Utd should be fun ! B)
…..and in keeping with a previous thread maybe a ‘fancy dress’ with a Hogmanay theme occasion. B)
I might go as Russ Abbott then ! B)

;)Who do you think is missing the irony Micky ? Do you think Samaras can save Greece ! ;)
I bet like me the whole country ,if not the whole of Europe , turned over to the Germany game when Portugal went ahead in their game ,and for 5-10 minutes Germany were one Danish goal away from going out. They probably went up a gear when they realised the implications but those few minutes were priceless.
So the German dominance of Europe , on and off the pitch , could all be thwarted by the little old Greeks. Fascinating times , eh Micky. ;)
Like I said they were complacent at times but all that will be gone now as Joachim readies his unstoppable machine to steam roll the fortunate Greeks ! Euro and Greece are 2 words that dont go too well together eh !! B)
Georgios Samaras Narcissus personified !
Well credit to our copy and paste merchant ! The fixtures are in place several days before they are published and they do get leaked sometimes !
It was billed the group of death and the machine strode through with 3 wins making that 13 wins out of 13 in this competition ! The complacency of tonight’s game will now be completely eradicated and the machine will be given a further fine tune and I fully expect it to roll on into the semis ! :cheer:
For a moment I thought the wheels had fallen off your half-track tonight.
Never in doubt ! B) Did the Yanks not nick the idea of the half track off the French ?
I agree with bicky & johndoe on this one. After the liverpool thing, plans & preparation should have been put in place to focus on the upcoming season, not to give fans the concern of martinez allegedly going to another club after turning one down previously. To be fair to whelan he has said he hopes spurs “leaves us alone.” i know its frustrating for fans but in the 30 odd yrars ive been supporting wigan we are simply a stepping stone club for both players & managers alike.
Yeah!…like you, I too agree with the biscuit and toe tag man. It’s true we supporters are hard done by and need to know the absolute detail of everything that goes on in the club. It is, after all, OUR club…….we have a right to know. What is going on with Moses…..is he or not? C’mon management let us know. Who are you signing and how do they fit into OUR way of playing? What are your financial plans for the next year/short term plan/long term plan….we need to know….NOW. Why are you not listening to US……we’ve played championship manager longer than you.
It’s simple really………………………..give me strength.
Not the first time that you have made a reference to fans playing computer games or similar ! Personally I don’t play them but I wouldn’t think for one minute that anyone who does play them would think that they have the capabilities to run a football team ! You can be quite condescending when the mood takes you Micky ! B)
You know Phil you are quite right, however, it’s only after I hear some of the rubbish spouted in the local hostelries………and my ‘repetitive’ reference to computer games or similar – eh?
I’m condescending?……….oh the irony. ;)
What rubbish do you hear ? Do elucidate !
