I saw Hustler supporting Queen at Preston Guild Hall in 1974. Top band.
I don’t remember seeing them at the Casino though. Saw quite a few gig there. Those were the days. I think I saw Dennis Delight about 3 times there.
‘Ivan The Balkan’ ;) DD are still gigging but Frank is the only original member and they don’t really play any of the old stuff from back in the day!

Saw Sam Apple Pie at JR’s Club in Blackpool circa 81/82 and there were only about 10 people there and 6 of them were us lot! Our kid got up on stage at one point and shouted ‘Sam Apple Pie’ through mic midway through one of the numbers , happy days !

I’m going to Playa Blanca! On a Sabbath note, going to watch ‘Black Zeppelin'( Wigan based band ) on Saturday in Preston, great Led Zepp/Sabbath covers band. First half they do Led Zepp stuff then second half is old Sabbath stuff up to Vol4 ! Have you come across them before? I saw them at The Talbot in Burnley and was impressed enough to arrange to see them this Saturday as well!

’Feuteurventura’ ? Not heard of that, where is it? Is it similar to Fuerteventura ? On a serious note, how’s the weather in The Canaries as I’m going to Lanzarote in just over 4 weeks? I know it’s a month off but I’ve been told that the weather out that way ain’t been as good as usual for this time of year so I’m panicking!

It was in Puerto del Carmen owned by a great tics mon and ex Rainbow Cottage member Graham Hill. Both Graham and his lovely wife Caz passed away tragically quite a few years ago. His bar was a shrine to Latics, but got ransacked after their passing. I managed to save Micky Worswick’s shirt that he wore at Wembley in the old FA vase final v Scarborough, it is now on display at the DW in memory of Graham. Not aware of another Latics bar in Lanzer.[/quote]

After being thrown out of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Matt Hollywood has formed a new band with Bobby Hecksher and Jason “Plucky” Anchondo from The Warlocks. Bobby for a change is on bass and jason is as usual on drums. The new stuff is similar to Matt’s earlier bands ‘The Rebel Drones’ and ‘The Out Crowd’ and obviously similar to the BJM stuff seeing as Matt wrote quite a lot of their earlier stuff. Here’s a track from his new collaboration which could be any of the above mentioned bands! ;)

Last night’s post match interview brought on a pitch change of laughable proportions leading me to think that this could be some sort of ‘In joke’ ? At circa 1.17 his voice dramatically changes from low to high and then back down again about 15 secs later! Last few videos have seen comments about this underneath in the comments section ha ha ha

Did Perkins not have his pocket pinched just outside the box trying to dribble out of defence, leading to one of their goals?
Be end of the season if anything happens, no point in upsetting the proverbial promotion apple cart and all that!
But it changes completely at 56 secs ( Goes higher ) and then at 1.34 comes right back down again, it’s weird! He’s done this a few times in interviews, maybe he’s a reptilian shapeshifter or something!
