Alright children play nice. You both got tickets.
Did anyone NOT get them?
I didn’t get any, on saying that I didn’t apply for any! Big to do about nothing!
So what were those ‘Golden tickets’ handed out to those who attended the Checkatrade fiasco? Or was it a wind up perhaps? Bit of a stupid way to run things having a ballot mind! Like school kids running a tuck shop !
I think the message here is quite clear. If you think you have been hard done by then avoid games in this tournament in future! The gates speak for themselves!
Problem I have is most of us went garrity after the article by Knobhead Keys and rightly so yet some are now happy we have definitely thrown a game. Double standards. And if filmoss is correct about the rules then the club will find itself in the quagmire and a probable financial penalty. As for players wanting a break that’s fine for those playing regularly but I imangine that the likes of Bruce would have been chomping at the bit to play.I copied and pasted those rules from the Checkatrade Trophy official site. It said that the fine would be up to £5000.
I work with a lad from Warton. Good chance of some tickets for home end.I’ll literally be in the home end….In my fav armchair with several cans and a bottle of Bucky! ;)
A few of the rules concerning starting line ups ….
Each EFL Club must play its ‘Full Available Strength’ in and during all matches.
Full Available Strength means EFL clubs must include at least four qualifying players in the ten outfield players named in their starting XI.
The four qualifying players must either (a) start the preceding fixture (b) start the fixture immediately after (c) be in the top ten of appearance makers for the club so far that season (d) have made forty or more first team starting appearances in their career to date.I personally think it’s a meaningless cup but would I go to the final if we got there? Now there’s a question! We’ve won it twice ( Not two times! Hate that song! ) and took quite a few fans to Wembley on each occasion and so another couple of questions. Did any of you haters of this cup go to the finals? Would you have gone had we got to the final this season?
The answer to my question….Probably not but could have been persuaded with the right plans in place to make an affordable weekend of it. In other words, an excuse for a piss up in London!Everyone who went tonight should get one simple as that.
Absolutely correct, all sorts of rumours flying around tonight, i don’t think we’ve heard the last of this!
What sort of rumours?
No game on Saturday yet Cook plays a full squad of youth players, not even a fringe player to be seen, think about it!
Decided that with us still being in the FA Cup maybe this meaningless cup is surplus to requirements what with us being 2nd in the league and that. Too many cooks and all that ( No pun intended! )
Everyone who went tonight should get one simple as that.

Organised bonfires/firework displays could have been the reason why the burger vans weren’t there? Just a thought.
I’d be more worried about Charlton than Rovers!
I am always around horc.I agree about the service but I think it is more to do with the ones behind the bars than the equipment…. but like you said, I will get it raised (the point, not the bar, that would be daft)
But the bar does need raising so to speak! ;)
If in 90 minutes the worst criticisms I have is that an offside signal was a bit slow & some nudges in the back were let go then yes to me they were on the money.
All their big calls were spot on & if people use a complete non penalty & a justified 2nd caution as the big criticisms then to me it shows the officials got things right.
There was also uproar round me in the 1st half when the liner flagged offside before a cross that wound up with a header flashing just wide – I was bang on line with that & he was about a yard offsideHe did hold aloft the red card before the yellow though! ;)
Just a pity so many couldn’t be arsed going, those that didn’t bother will be at the front of the queue at the ticket office if we get to the final! This comment applies to every team in this competition ;)
What with all that ‘K’ stuff going on, let’s resume this baby with a topical one !” ;)
