Don’t understand the problem here. Fills group of four paid for season tickets and are included in the gate every week whether he attends or not. It’s his business if he goes or not.
No problem with that just don’t fekin go then if that’s how they feel. There is no reason to come on here telling everyone that you are not going and trying to justify why you are not going.
I don’t come on here saying I’m not buying a Latics top due to the cost, cos nobody gives a shiny shyte and that’s my decision.
This debate can end now, if you don’t want to watch the game saturday or refuse to watch them next season if Caldwell or Rosler are appointed then just do it.
We have better, more important topics to talk about than whether filmoss and his crew are going or not going to a fekin match.
A word of advice. Don’t go on Saturday! ;)
You are right Johnnie, I’m not one of the hard core fans, there are only about 2000 of them tops. As for Portsmouth, that is surely down to demographics because the likes of Coventry, Luton, Blackpool et al have seen their crowds fall accordingly! Football has evolved over the years, some may say for the worse but these days kids are not born into whichever club their Dad and Grandad suppport, they make their own minds up and usually radiate towards ‘The Good Stuff’ because football ‘IS’ about entertainment these days! As for me and Wigan, I think the club has let the fans down and needs to make amends rather than wait and see who the hard core are because when it gets to that point I think you will find that most of those up top will have fucked off by then as well!
Was half way to arranging something for next Sunday when I remembered.
Yes that’s partially due to my age, but just proves how much I wish this season was now over altogether.
Very poor home turn out on Sunday I reckon, a sign of things to come
There shouldn’t be too much of a fall off of the home support on Sunday, it has been dire all season and most have still turned up, apart from filmoss and VAT of course.
Get yourselves down there, stand up and be proud to be a Latic, give the lads a clap, they have tried, but were not good enough, it happens.
It is still our club, and the best club in the world to follow, there’s not many had the journey we have had since 1932. We will be back in August, better and stronger for it.
C’mon Latics!!!
All 4 of us stopped going, not just me! We all bought season tickets so we financially supported the club but the club didn’t repay us in anyway whatsoever and by ‘repay’ I mean give us any value for our money because it isn’t all about blind faith supporting for us. The club has been mismanaged and the effect has brought about yet another relegation. It’s alright spouting off about ‘Smashing’ League One with parachute payments and a squad that was actually good enough to compete in The Championship but to stand back and let that squad get dismantled and appear completely bereft of any ideas of how to move the club forward is akin to some idiots running a school tuck shop if you ask me! The football has been negative, boring and to be quite frank utterly shite in my view and so after the Forest game I decided that it wasn’t going to get any better soon, well certainly not this season and so I chose to do something else with my spare time, my prerogative ya see! I haven’t forgot about the game on Sunday, it’s just that I have better things to do with my time because if the club can’t be arsed then neither can I!
Having watched most of the games this season home and away, I can understand why some fans, including me, genuinely feel that we are actually unlucky to go down.Apart from the odd games we have competed in every one and been in those games for the majority of the 90 mins.
Individual errors have cost us, its not that teams have battered us into submission they haven’t.
I would say we have bossed probably 75% of the 46 games we’ve played but ended up missing the chances we have created and other teams have punished us for the errors we’ve made. Before anyone calls me deluded, I am as fair as anyone when having my post match chat, if teams have been better than us I say that.
Take a look at the injuries we have had to contend with, in particularly key positions including arguably our best striker, Will Grigg and for the run in his replacement Omar Bogle, two of our best midfielders in Powell and Gilbey, our best right back come wing back, Donovan Daniels, two left backs to put pressure on Warnock, Reece James and Andy Kellett, Captain Morgan for quite a few games, goal keepers galore whether you thought they were good enough or not, don’t forget losing Bogdan and Jussi lead to us getting that disaster from Stoke.
The sacking of Caldwell, which IMHO was a tad too early. As per the previous season in league one, it took him a while to sort out his best team and gel the players, it was ironic that “Caldwell’s team” beat Cardiff away days after he was sacked and that might have put his sacking on hold, who knows what might have happened.
The gamble taken when putting Joyce in charge back fired, it led to a shed full of loan signings and the squad changed shape again. OK that was Sharpy’s mistake and he realises that now, but it looked like a decent appointment at the time.
Can anyone honestly say that that having watched Latics all season that there was only one team in the championship that looked worse than us?
I know people say the league never lies and after 46 games we had the second least points of 23 teams, but taking everything into consideration I really think we did not deserve to go down.
If you think they did, fair enough that’s your opinion, but its certainly not down to playing united and Liverpool pre-season, these are games that;
a} generate welcomed income,
b} bring in a a lot of fans that may just get hooked into watching us more often.
c} give the players the opportunity to test themselves against top class players.Nowt wrong with the above, to me its more about getting the players to gel, so get that right during pre-season, if we play Macclesfield lets put our first team out and not a team of kids.
Here’s to a great season in league Uno.
I reckon you are on the wind up, you have to be!
Can’t blame him resting players!
At home putting his feet up. Thanks for all he has done but my opinion is that the club needs a breath of fresh air!
The same could be said about some of our fans.
I’ve been home with my feet up since that pathetic display against Forest! ;)
Just what the club needs. Supporters who stay away just because this season hasn’t been one of the best. Whatever happened to supporting a club through the good times & bad.
Logout

Enlarge / ShrinkI got a season ticket and so I can do what I want and don’t give me any of that vocal support bollocks because it’s been like a morgue all season!
Phil, I hope you will be back at your vociferous best with a new season ticket in your hand for our League One campaign in August.
You know I will! We need to meet up more often before games man !
You are right there Phil.
We seem to have just got out of the habit of going for a pre match bevvy. I think it has been mainly a case of wanting to get the day over as quick as possible coz its been so shite.
At the end of the day the pre match drinks are the best part of the day because let’s face it it’s been utter dog shit on the games!

REALLY? CANT EVEN BACK US LOSE ME PALThere is no room for sentiment where money is concerned, ask any footballer that! ;)
Celtic would be able to compete in The Prem albeit mid to lower table, whilst Rangers would be a decent Championship side and as evidently we are not a very good Championship side then Rangers very probably are streets ahead of us at this time. Aberdeen like Rangers would be a good Championship side.
They could survive if they win all their remaining games despite showing no evidence of doing so and all the others get beat. Oh hang on, where have I heard shite talk like that before?

You think? I’m a realist mate not a fucking idiot with rose tinted glasses on! There is nothing more than I would like than for you to rub this in my face after the Leeds game but it’s not gonna happen, let it go! And the avatar is of psilocybin mushrooms which have been proven to help depression and the like, they are also a good laugh so yeah it is a barrel of laughs here :) Nice tie by the way! ;)
Have you placed money on us to go down like you did last time?*
*apologies if that wasn’t you
No I haven’t but I did as soon as Malky Mackay was appointed our manager because I had the foresight to see what it would do to the club and decided to make some money out of the unfortunate situation that Dave Whelan had put us in! ;)
