???
This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve read tonight that some of us would prefer Bolton to stay up.
These are our biggest local rivals – why on earth wouldn’t you want them worse off than us?Do you think Everton fans would prefer Liverpool to stay up?
Or City fans Utd?
Or Spurs fans Arsenal?
Or Rangers fans Celtic?
Or River fans Boca?
Or Sunderland fans Newcastle?Don’t get me wrong I love a good derby, but would much rather see Bolton plying their trade in a division below us.
Plus, Bolton and Blackburn going down makes us the top team in Lancashire and in Gr Manchester we’d be third only to City or Utd!
What about Pullis scruffy mon he his the oldest chav in BritainFits right in with all the Stokies though!
:)
Don’t read em if you don’t like em lowton – we all celebrate in our own way.
Not sure how I feel about this result.
On the one hand I’m pleased that they’re now wella nd truly dragged into the relegation fight and would love to seem them go down (along with Bolton), but I can’t say I’m happy about Bolton getting the result and stepping up the pressure on us.
Can’t stand the cockney w4nker either…and unfortunately for Reading he’s the probably reason I hate them so much too (apart from it also being a sh1t town and an awful ground to get to/from).
Sickens me to see how well he’s done with the arrogant barcodes – they are made for each other though. He’ll probably manage Arsenal next.
Think his feelings about us are mutual though…when he was asked how he felt about promotion with West Ham via the playoffs the same year we got promoted, didn’t he say something like “Yeah it’s great, but we’ll still be playing Wigan”?
Yawn
I used to regularly take photos of the table on Ceefax for posterity – still got a pile from 04/05 and 05/06.
…the worst position we find ourselves in is a GD that’s only worsened by 3-4 goals against AND we’re only 3 points off 17th, for me that will do!
Bl00dy Rubbish Wigan!!!
Bigroy – good article that…until the pompous final line about Championship fixtures!
Gordon – the last thing we need is more middle aged “officials” on the pitch, trying to keep up with players less than half their age, limited by human error and swayed by the home team and home crowd.
No they were all great escapes – think he means like when we have scored a pan fulldont think we have ever hit the onion bag 6 times so guess it was the 5 v Blackburn
5-0 away at Hull is our biggest win in the Prem and bigger than the 5-3 vs Blackburn on account of none conceded
3-2 vs West Ham has to be our most significant
3-2 vs Arsenal our most unbelievableHugo has not been missed in my opinion and he is just waiting for the season to end then he can go ! Don’t know where mind !!If Caldwell’s finish on Saturday is anything to go by, we’ve been looking in the wrong place for a striker! Puts Hugo’s, Victor’s, Momo’s, Franco’s and Connor’s various missed sitters this season to shame ;)
Have just watched the game on Sky without knowing the result and all I can say is YEEEESSSSSSS!
Still think I’m deluded bob??
can I congratulate You on on Your shit Avatar? That’s a bit rich Bob – have you seen yours?
How can you train properly when a core of the 1st team are half way around the world?
But even that’s not an excuse. Simple fact is Bob got the tactics completely wrong and just like the Sunderland game in January he decided to drop Moses, and tinker with the line up and formation just as we’d started to hit a bit of “form”.
If Alcaraz, Caldwell and Figueroa are all able to start, then why not Moses esp. if he’s ok to come on at half time? Like that 45min extra rest made any difference. Play your strongest team and sub them when they get knackered.
Plus, why on earth didn’t we start with the same side that finished so well vs Villa?
