That’s how it should be Oz we should have German prices for games with subsidies for away tickets then add free public travel (there goes that flying pig again)not in this country its always us the fans who pay, even though at Sunderland a while back it was free buses to the Stadium.
I might just be a boring old fart, but I struggle to understand why people have to drink when going to a game. My dad’s theory is a lot of blokes do it because they’re hen pecked and away from the dragon for a few hours, so it’s their chance for a drink.
I’d sooner stay sober watching this team of ours. Plus, I have two young uns with me so it’s not like I’m on a jolly with the lads. And the cherry on the cake, I’m driving to Doncaster, so that’s me strictly on Pepsi anyway!
The Dragon is the one who drags me to the bars.Enjoy your drink…. But not too much that it ruins your day.
Some bullshit about making fans go out and watch a game, if theirs a game on at 3 pm on tv fans might be tempted to watch that game sat in there front room with a beer in hand and remote in the other, instead of watching their own club as i said what utter bollocks.
Advertise them to any one but sell them for what you paid they never check them anyway these days.
Then increase the support, not lower the capacity
I think that ships sailed, George. Biggest mistake he made was increasing prices in the second Premier League season. It put a lot of the new people off straight away.
But if we put it into perspective, next season we will be getting a lot bigger away supports coming. I’d say 3-4 thousand on average, some even bigger. If we can have 9000 home fans on and 4000 away, it gives us a 13k attendance. Pretty much the same as Preston North End who are actually a city club, these days. Plus theyve been going since the 1800’s. When you look at it like that, next seasons attendances will be about right for where we are, and what we are as a club. If we could get to the Premier League again, I’d expect attendances to rise to the 17-20k mark, depending on opposition.
When you look at it like that, it’s not so bad.[/quote]
I like your optimism VAT, I can see 11 – 12 k for home games pushing 13 for Derby’s next season, but here’s to the Samba beat at Donny on Saturday.Last game it is then, see you all at Donny for the title celebrations, we hope just like Blackpool .
Will the trophy be present just in case !!!
Rovers pitch invading at Doncaster and the cameras seemed to love it.Do you think they’ll get fined as well probably not, one rule for one and another rule etc etc etc
Trophy for us a Donny maybe !!!
This football malarkey is a marathon not a sprint and having a bad start or not is irrelevant and the fact is at this current moment in time we’re top of the league in league 1 and their not so we are the better team come 5th May if Blackburn are top they are the better team but i wouldn’t count their chickens on being top so we will be the better team.
What tickles me is Rovers fans and Shrewsbury fans have been having a slanging match at each other for months all about going up, now Rovers fans are turning on us as galant Shrews fade, they should give their heads a wobble, all three any other season would go up automatically, now get over Cookie, its just jealousy Sir Cookie over Mowbray any day of the week.
Watched the game sat on my hands in the Fleetwood end. Great performance from team and fans. Got to single Gav Massey out superb performance topped off with a superb strike for the second goal. Party time me thinks.I’ve always said when he plays well we look a hell of a lot stronger as a team,so its a thank you to Roberto for that one, Well done boys for today and everyone involved in Joseph’s goal congratulations.
I think the new term is rested Donny not dropped here’s to 3 points.
I hope it’s not hoof ball like Tuesday how about this starting eleven.
WALTON

DUNKS
DURN
MORSY
JACOBS
POWER
MASSEY

Looks good going forward and no hoof ball.Thought that was a load of shit why didn’t we play our strongest 11 then take the players off once we were in the lead and coasting we looked a mid table league 1 team today and nerves got the better of us, play like that next year and We’ll be thumped every week .
